Also, my first thought was: this girl has some sort of mental disorder. Whether it’s as simple as ADHD, or something like Bipolar or Borderline Personality Disorder, something is going on. With how much I was groomed throughout middle school by men in their 20s online, I’m so surprised I wasn’t stalked. In the early 2010s and before, internet safety was just “don’t share personal info online” and dangerous adults were always portrayed as old or openly creepy. There weren’t any conversations about grooming, especially online, and that the 20 year old guy in college with a seemingly normal life can also do that. So I think all they had was my first name, and all conversations and events occurred online. I’m lucky it was only that.

I am not through the video yet but I can already tell that you should look into the so called "favorite persons (fp)" of persons afflicted with Borderline Personality Disorder. It sounds a lot like you were her fp and she was "splitting" on you (seeing you in black & white, so either entirely good and idealized or totally worthless, dumb etc.). Of course Idk if she has BPD but it sure sounds a lot like it.

Our spark really is gone.” is SO crazy….obviously everything about this is crazy, but that specific line given the situation and everything that happened is a new level of delusional. Honestly, I get why you did what you did because I probably would’ve done the same thing. Especially is someone was trying to guilt-trip me into thinking I somehow ruined their life. She knew what she was doing 100% by using her mental health and emotions to control you. She knew you were a kind person and too nice to be blunt with her and she took advantage of that. She literally admitted to creating fake situations in her head while listening to Olivia Rodrigo songs! She was having a full blown relationship all by herself with you even doing anything! That’s why she came out of the blue wanting to “make amends”! She had literally tricked herself into thinking the relationship was far deeper than it ever was. I truly feel bad for her, in a way, because she was obviously genuinely struggling with SOMETHING over the years…whether it was your “relationship” or not, and I have sympathy for that. Her feelings still exist and she still hurts like all of us, so it’s hard for me to come at her with anger. It’s more so….confusion. I’m sure you feel the same due to the fact you never lead her on romantically and simply tried to be polite. I just hope she gets help because there’s something deeper going on inside of her. People don’t behave obsessively like that for no reason. Let’s hope she gets help before she targets another innocent person. Thanks for sharing your story, man! I’m sorry you had to deal with all of this for YEARS…I can’t imagine how smothered you must have felt. Not to mention, paranoid! I hope you’re doing good now and learning to trust people a bit more! There’s still a ton of awesome people out there, so we have to fine a happy medium of staying safe, but still keeping doors open for opportunity. ❤

Oh my god. This was a very interesting story. Here before this blows up. It felt especially eerie cause my name is Noah too and this is something that can happen to everyone. I hope this person gets help and get better.

I hope that wherever Lauren is today, she has found help for her untreated mental health problems. I also don't think you really handled stuff too badly, sure some of the stuff was immature and not helpful, but you are still young and was put in a very difficult situation until you snapped.
