FINALY, Somebody who knows how to kick start a bike.

Ja,eine Maschine sticht mir besonders heraus.Das ist die 5ooer Neander,oder aber Opel.Der Motor war meistens ein Einbaumotor von der Fa.Küchen,der auch in verschiedenen anderen Motorrädern verbaut wurde.Er hatte 19Ps mit Königswelle und drei Ventilen.Ein Auslass und zwei Einlassventile.An der Seite vom Zylinderkopf war ein kleiner Hebel,da wurde ein Ventil ausgehoben,denn sonst hätte man kaum eine Chance das Ding anzutreten.Spitzengeschwindigkeit war 115km/h.Federung war hinten starr und vorne eine Auslegergabel,mit Reibungsstossdämpfern.Der Tank war verkehrt herum und die Benzinuhr diente gleichzeitig als Tankdeckel.Ausserdem,wenn ich mich nicht irre war der Tank unterteilt mit einem Ölfach und Handpumpe.Die diente zur besseren Schmierung der Kurbelwellenlager.Auspuffe waren beidseitig und sahen am Endstück aus wie eine kleine Panzerfaust.Aber sie hatte einen satten Klang. Der Kupplungs und Handbremshebel waren verkehrtherum platziert.Der Tachoantrieb war auch beeindruckend mit dem Zahnradtrieb vom Vorderrad aus.Die maschine auf den Ständer heben,da hatten wir zuweilen Wetten abgeschlossen,wer das schafft.Die maschine hatte mein Gartennachbar in Einzelteilen mitgebracht und in seiner Gartenlaube zusammengebaut.Ich war als Neugierde natürlich als Schulkind mit dabei.Habe von Grundauf das Erstehen der Maschine mit verfolgt.

Will the bike stall if you have it in say 4th gear but your speed isn't fast enough? How do you work the throttle and foot clutch together? If you leave the throttle open and shift the clutch down or up, how does that affect the revs?
