2023 RingMaster Fly A Thon

This past Saturday, we held the local Syracuse area running of the 16th Annual Ringmaster Fly-A-Thon. The local event was notable for 3 things: 1. It was held mostly in the rain, 2. A new local record was set for the number of official flights flown, and 3. The efforts of our two 'Mad Ukrainians' in flying flight after flight in the rain in order to make the day a success!!

Almost didn't watch--I thought it about junk cars. Glad I watched--a fun time as had by all, taking me back to when my dad and I flew that Flight Streak with a red headed McCoy .35. He kept saying he was "running outta fingers trying to start that thing!" Those were the days........

Great video thank you! What would be the easiest build for a complete beginner? I've never build a model plane before and I am trying to start this hobby.
Personally, I would not recommend this kit as a first-time build. It is too fiddly to make for an easy build. While there are as many opinions on what would be a good beginner kit as there are modelers in the hobby, I might recommend one of the #600 Series of 'Simple Build-by-Number' kits put out by Guillow's. You can find them on the Guillow's website or on Amazon and eBay. Hope that helps and enjoy the build!

Ugly, the new Marine one design doesn’t evoke presidential….all you see is “evac” copter. The classic Sikorsky lines look way better.

Cool! I have always loved the B-10. I was fortunate enough to grow up a few miles away from The United States Air Force museum in Dayton, Ohio where the only surviving Martin B-10 resides (I think it's the only surviving B-10) I always wanted to see somebody build a flying model of this airplane in RC but CL will be just as awesome. Can't wait to see your progress and flight! Thanks for the video.

Made by Sikorsky in the USA. HMX-1 stands for Marine Experimental Helicopter Squadron 1.
@@whhsfordian HMX is an acronym for High Melting eXplosive, also known as octogen & cyclotetramethylenetetra-nitramine, a man made chemical compound not found in nature. That HMX handle has been used by the high explosive since 1930--- 12 years before Biden was born and 31 years before the SH-3 Sea King was born. It's got dibs on "HMX".
