This does sound like a great structure. I have heard Cliff's split is more like RK's. You have me tempted to try it, but I likely won't because of the German. Have you taken any of Katie's strength classes yet? I really love her!
that's good to know I'll have to try out Cliff's as well!! and yeah lol the German is a lot. I haven't tried Katie's classes yet - I basically never do one off strength classes but I'll have to give her a try if you like her so much! I just started TS2 so I will be locked into Andy for the next 6 weeks!

This was really enjoyable! It reminded me of marathon training when I did a loop through my city. It's something you would never do unless you set out to do it, but once you do, it's quite an accomplishment!

we used crystal auto rental and had no issues! I would recommend any vehicle that is decent at off-roading as there are definitely some bumpy/rocky streets.
These classes were definitely hit and miss this year. I got a good workout in Cody's ride but it was so boring, which was a surprise. I'm glad Andy and Rebecca's class brought the fun theme energy.
That's surprising - Cody usually brings it in the themed rides! And yeah, I love two for ones in general so their class was super fun and I like the "theme" instead of just straight up halloween.
LOL I'm glad it wasn't just me with the Becs class. I also took it live for the Halloween badge challenge. Luckily I was outside so I could ignore some of her talking but agree it was just weird. Camila's Halloween ride where she's dressed as a peach and played songs about butts was my favorite. She's so hilarious and creative. Andy and Rebecca were acting as Anchorman characters, but I'm sure they couldn't outright say that due to licensing.
haha yeah Becs class was a huge NO for me, I was surprised because I saw some positive things about it online, glad it worked for someone! Camilla's ride looked great, I'm so sad I don't have access to the bike! I love Camilla in general so I bet I would've liked her class a lot. and ohhh haha I actually have seen anchorman but so long ago! I didn't even realize. Interesting that they chose something that they couldn't outright say what they were

I did a bunch of the old and new Halloween classes and the only one I would do again is Andy and Rebeccas. I laughed so hard (the SO came down to see what was so funny) and missed an entire set of pushups due to a joke about counting. Andy wore the wrong outfit to move in LOL

Pilates reformer classes are $45-150 an hour. It can be $250 a month compared to a regular gym membership. Pilates is the most comprehensive statistically researched exercise since 1920s they used it to try navy seals too. Typically classic pilates is easier and then athletic pilates. Try imx pilates there pilates reformer machine is difficult but might be less crazy then solidcore. It cheaper to buy a pilates reformer and take free classes on TH-cam, videos, or $30 a month online classes. The Pilates reformers are not cheap but monthly unlined memberships are so expensive that it cheaper just to buy a reformer and learn it.
Solid core is Pilates on crack!!!! It difficult I hear and Michelle Obama does it lol and she very athletic!!
My take on these split+ classes--they are designed for people who either 1) love that particular instructor or 2) have terrible decision fatigue or just don't enjoy stacking their own classes. There is no part of me that wants to do all my strength and cardio with the same instructor for a week and then I'm supposed to repeat this week after week? No thank you! There are significant benefits to progressive overload, but there is no need to repeat the exact same cardio classes to get those results. On top of that, I have zero desire to do workouts with either Olivia or Ben, so there's that. lol. (I did try one of Ben's classes. It's nice to have a seamless transition from floor to bike, but I'm perfectly fine picking a different class for afterwards.)

I didn't do many AFO classes this year, but the Bruno Mars was one of them and it was awesome. Sam's theater background really shines in his specialty classes. You're right, it wasn't very hard. But I enjoyed it for the music and not for the hard ride. Your feelings about Olivia crack me up. I agree. I feel the same way about Robin too. The great thing is that everyone is someone's favorite. How does it feel to be back on the bike? I rarely do rides outside of Power Zone anymore.
I feel like Robin used to not be as bad but maybe I'm misrembering!! But yes that great thing about peloton is that they have a variety of instructors, I'm sure Ben isn't everyone's cup of tea either!! The bike was fun but definitely very tiring to ride so much haha. I am more into a running phase right now!! I would also do power zone if I had a bike - those are the best classes IMO.
@@EmmaAdamss I will continue to try a class with every instructor at least once every year, but every time I try Olivia or Robin I'm usually like that's enough! On a Andy walk this morning, he asked if we were where we wanted to be--I thought that was a great question to ask about the different forms of exercise I do. I would like to improve my running and my strength, but I'm happy with where I am with cycling. So that helps me set my goals.
@@jenmitchell9119 taking all the instructors once a year is a great idea.. there are definitely something I haven't taken in a loooong time. Love the advice from Andy - and definitely means I gotta amp up my strength classes!!
I like it when they talk some about the artist but I took the Stevie nicks outdoor walk (I’m a huge fan) and Matty always talks too much. I like him but the facts are too much to the point i can’t enjoy the music
hahaha yes I could see that for Matty. You should try the 30 min Stevie Nicks hike from Rebecca even if you just outdoor walk to it - I think she is a good balance of showing her enthasium but also allowing us to enjoy the music!!

You definitely should’ve received them - I got them with my bib pick-up. Maybe they don’t mail them since they’re sharp?
@@EmmaAdamss Maybe, but I'm going to the store to get some now. What do you eat for dinner the night before race day? I have a upcoming race and it is my first one. I should have wen to the health and fitness expo. to take in the full event, but didn’t , so hopefully after the race they will have stands and shops for merchandise.
@@noguile2737 good luck at your race!! I always hit up the health and fitness expo just so I can get some free samples of things but I don't think it's a big deal to miss! I always eat pasta the night before my races.

I find Rad's strength to be a bit more like HIIT classes (just like Jess Sims), too fast paced for me. Love how his personality comes though! I love how Peloton is providing content in Spanish (including Camila as a strength instructor!). I feel that diversity is a huge asset for Peloton.
Yeah I agree honestly I am surprised there isn't more Spanish content! I feel like there would be a large demand for it but I guess peloton can tell based on how many people are taking the classes.
@@EmmaAdamss it appears to be a growing demographic but not growing super fast. Between Rad, Mariana and Camila they have most modalities covered. I know Camila's fanbase is really big.
I'm glad you took this one--I was nervous about the Spanish, but Rad is one of my favorite strength instructors so I'll give it a try. I wish he would have just made the legs one 25 minutes or 30 minutes if he couldn't fit the breaks into 20 minutes, which I get is probably hard to do. I'm not afraid of the pause button though. 😂
yeah if you like rad I would definitely recommend!! The spanish was not hard to follow along esp with subtitles! True about making the classes longer for more recovery -- I honestly wonder if peloton tells him the length of the classes or if he gets to true. I need to just get more used to hitting the pause button to recover - I never think about it in the moment but that is definitely the best thing to do!

I remember you saying that Chris is the travel planner, so I've enjoyed your last two travel vlogs! I've tried twice to book hotels with Pelotons and both haven't been fully functional. So I try not to get my hopes up.
haha yes I’ve appreciated Chris even more now that I’ve had to plan my own travels! And wow, I’ve never had an issue! That’d be super frustrating to not have them working 😪

Great except for no soft pad in the crate.
I love metal music so I did one of Kendal’s metal rides and it was by far the most brutal class I’ve ever taken and I’ve done a lot of interval rides with her and other instructors. I also couldn’t do the minimums for about 1/3 of the ride and I still got a PR on that ride. The one I took was a 9.2. Jess’s sweat steady rides are also so brutal. Ive only done 30min and that’s more than tough enough for me. I could do it but I wouldn’t seek it out
I love Jess's sweat steady rides but they are hard!! Kendall's heavy metal rides are impossible imo! If you want an even harder challenge try her Metallica ride lol - that is a hard one!
@@EmmaAdamss I enjoy sweat steady rides too I’ve done 4-5 of those but my legs are absolutely burning by the end. Yeah I agree. I’d like to retry the heavy metal ride again though and see what I could do now because I’m a lot stronger and have more stamina now. I do love Metallica so I’ll have to check that out at some point
I did a 60 minute Matt ride in studio a couple of years ago--it was either my 200th or 300th ride, and he was great. Haven't been since then, mostly because I almost never think to look at the studio site on thursdays. I'd also love to go to london one of these days to ride with either Bradley or Sam.
oh yeah I bet that was an awesome class!! I’ve never timed a milestone right but now I kind of want to try. I would love to do a Bradley class, and my mom would love Sam! The London studio would be so cool.
I have to tell myself almost on a daily basis that I don't need any more workout leggings. You definitely got your money's worth with a 75 minute class! I'm three and a half years in with Peloton and I still haven't even attempted a class in studio. My dream class would be a walk + run with Jess Sims!
haha yeah it’s so hard because I wear leggings almost everyday to work out, but I definitely have enough to last me many years 😂 Jess Sims would be awesome! Next time I definitely want to do a tread class.
I was at members weekend too! I finally got to take a class with AT & i won a lulu belt bag at the end of class 😊

The in studio classes are such a fun experience! I did a NYC studio w CDE a few months back and it was so fun. Id love to do a zone w MW! I didnt know about this Lulu members thing will have to keep closer eye on emails 😅. Do you guys have room for a bike in your apt?
ooo CDE would be so fun as well!! yeah the email just came randomly one day but it’s definitely nice to get some freebies! We probably would have space to put a bike in our apartment, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to accept one of our rooms smelling like sweat 😅 I had a bike in my bedroom when I lived in SF and it was a little much! Especially since I have a road bike here. But the classes are so fun!

Personally, I don’t care about getting better or worse. Each day is different. I do a lot more than just bike so it’s all relative Thanks for the info.

I like the classes but agree that it doesn't feel like a program. Barre works because you do a stupid amount of reps without a break to burn out the muscles. I wish they progressed week after week, with maybe week 1 doing 2 sets of 8 clamshells and doing 5 sets by week 4. But they probably knew people would cry doing 40 clamshells 😂
yeah would’ve been cool to see some build up but not sure how much better you can really get in 4 weeks when every week you have arms, legs, core etc. I think this would’ve worked better as a collection!
I'm firmly in the camp of needing Hannah to be in small doses. But I can't deny that she's phenomenal in the barre and stretching categories. I'm interested in taking this program but stretching it out...a lot. You definitely increased my desire to take it even if it's just to access the classes as individual classes.
hahaha yes I can understand the need for small doses of Hannah. Yeah some classes are good! I think this would’ve worked a lot better as a collection, I wonder what the motivation was to make it a program. Even I took a week break in the middle!

Thank you! I get lab work every year and my thyroid is fine, I have a small patch of white skin on my throat which might make it look weird some times but I appreciate the concern!
