Too bad the Audio isnt better on this capture ..yeah i still see David Byrne riding his bicycle in Manhattan on those rare occasions/ Houses in Motion.here is pretty fkn awesome. My fave of this excursion.

I first encountered this band on the radio in the UK and then on vinyl. I grew to love the music by immersion and repetition. Many of my favourite sounds are their songs... But... as someone who went to countless pub and club gigs in my youth, I wonder whether I might have heard this live performance and forgotten it. This is a sort of embryonic TH. What they became is clearly audible, but also not quite reached yet. A wonderful piece of video. I like to think I'd have recognised their genius from this performance... But perhaps I would have strolled off and forgotten them. Having said that, Psychokiller is mesmerising, even as unpolished as it is here.

Playing in perfect rhythm and moving like that has got to be one of the hardest things to do. And where does Byrne find these talented people??

Fantastic. Outstanding guitar work by David to fill the sound without Jerry. Saw them in 79 at Berkeley at lunch time - weird. Maybe 20 people standing around going what is this? The performance was much like this but Jerry was there. The originality and talent really stands out in the stripped down and up-close performances.

Lets be honest in the last 30 years has any other band been this original.

Always thought Talkin Heads was the next big step up from Frank Zappa. Original art band that is only matched by Ivo Popasov wedding band. Nothing else comes close.

Wow. Just came across this after watching Stop Making Sense on a big screen in my local park. Despite being a mad TH fan I've never even heard the third song before. Amazed to realise that many of the earliest songs didn't make it onto the first album
