I came over to this channel from watching the Turnip's trip to sunny Darwen. Really good channel. It would be nice to see in future content if you could cover off some simple cabinet making for campers and what materials are best to use for this. Looking forward to future content. Also are you looking to produce and sell any of the cabinets for folk to install in their own vans. I'd be interested in this.

Removing the front passenger seat frees up so much space. A few years ago I took the kids camping in my small hatchback and removed the front seat to store the tent and a few other items. It meant the kids could sit on the back seats and everything else fitted in the boot under the parcel shelf.

The main benefit is stealth - correct - but .... unbolting and removing the front seat counts as a vehicle modification, of which you are obliged to notify your insurer and if you don't, you may find yourself with a beautiful camper but unable to drive it. And if you do and the insurer says 'no' to that particular modification, well, then you are in the same spot.

Dont forget though when you do a conversion like this you need to get the seating capacity changed on the v5 log book in this case it would need to be declared as a single seat vehicle otherwise when it comes to mot time they will need to check the number of seatbelts and anchor points in accordance with the number of seats stated on the v5 which is stated on their computer when they book your vehicle onto the database for testing.

Check where the front inner guards bolt to the firewall. That bracket is notorious for catching rubbish and rusting through the floorpan. Your model is full time 4wd as there are no free wheel hubs on the front Currently in the process of getting a 1991 hzj80 DX commonly called the poverty pack here in Australia.

The tool that you showed in the video at 2:44 is a soldering iron, you heat the part up that is pointed on a gas hob flame or other type of flame, then tin the end when it is hot using some flux and solder then pressure on to the items you want to solder to heat them up. Great little truck the mirror on the wing show you it's an import thay r none to over heat but I do recommend changing the gear box oils it should be nice and pink and not smelly a good sin it needs to be changed ok have fun

You could also buy the 2004 ford fiesta 1.4 Diesel engine, come in ride. They are super economical. 3 door or 5 door.

This is a really nice conversion. I completely agree about keeping things simple and still being able to use it as a van. To me the bed and table are works of art! Any more details on how to make the table supports? If I did it I think it would either bind or be sloppy. Did you make a jig and rout the bed?
