This gate definitely is not UL325 compliant nor is it ASTM F2200 compliant for a gate being automated, however it is a very nice looking install and a really good looking gate,

Very nice. How do you determine the post locations? I'm building a 17' gate with a 10' cantilever. I think that is correct!! Trying to figure out where to dig post holes.

I am building this gate this summer. I have a few questions. How deep are the posts in the ground? How thick is the steel on the 4X4 posts? 1/4"

Love that style of gate,..the cantilever is soo simple to install and so effective for functionality with large opening like this one,..good job guys!

What do you think of doing a double door in this exact setting ? What are the pros and cons of using double vs single gate ?

It would have been a lot simpler and cheaper to have installed a wireless push button inside the property and have that gate close automatedly after 20/30 seconds there is no way in the world I would have dug up the road and run a cable to the control panel.

The greatest part is we don't have to worry about letting contractors or visitors out the gate, we just tell them to drive towards the gate and it will open for them. Always closes after each time and very rarely gets confused when I stop over the sensor (my husband says that's because it can tell which direction my vehicle is moving and that's how it decides to open or not). I don't know about all that, but I know I really like this gate opener and it makes my life easier.*

I am building a (2x2 Square Tubing) 18 foot gate, weighs app. 350 Lbs. can you give me some numbers as to how much to space the 4" square post that we need to bury in the ground about 4-5 Feet. I think we will gamble with the 18 foot gate and 8-9 foot of counterweight on end. Is that suffecient. Appreciate your response. I luv your video...TXDashcovers.com

we use a heavy duty 6 inch cantilever roller , the gate is made from Steel and can absolutely be a manual operation first and then automated later
