That's actually a great idea😍 The Amalfi shirt has an A-line shape, so just by extending the side-seams, you can make a beautiful flowy dress! Let me know if you need more instructions.🙂

@@NeedleEyePatterns I’ve done several. I try to make unique and original things or those inspired by designers. Recently I’ve been buying Indian sarees (6 yards of fabric) and making kimonos and loose pants and dresses like the designer Etro. Often I’ll buy fabric bc I love it then design the style.

This video really helped! 63 yrs. young and new to sewing. Just can’t figure out the proper order for the alterations on an existing pattern I have to do to fit my oddly shaped body. Example….pattern has bust and waist darts. Bust apex on pattern is not where my apex is. Need to move the bust dart, do an FBA, as well, move the waist dart. As well grade the waist…oh the struggle is real🙁. Is there a proper order to follow when alterations are needed? FBA first, move darts first and how? Grading in or out first? Lengthen or shorten first? This is alot, but if you’re interested in ideas, these might be a few. Or book suggestions? Thank you….I look forward to more of your informative content. 👍🇨🇦

Who do you know that is working on the larger cup-size bras for otherwise thin women? I am somewhere in the H, I ,J, K, sizes and therefore figure foundations are where I need to begin so that when I go to make a dress form the girls will be properly positioned.

I don’t know of any specific TH-cam channels off the top of my head that cover this, but when it comes to sewing patterns, Cashmerette is great for larger bust sizes-you might want to check them out! I’m also working on a new series for sizing alterations, so stay tuned for more content that might help with adjustments.🙂

Why do we need two elastics?
Hi there, based on my experience teaching many beginner sewers, it's much easier for them to create two tunnels and insert narrow elastic in each one rather than using a wider elastic and top-stitching over it because you need to pull the elastic and sew over it at the same time. Which way would you prefer? :)
