Improve Your Footwork: Common Forehand Mistakes and How to Fix Them
In this video, we analyze the importance of footwork and swing mechanics in executing an aggressive forehand. Watch as we break down a player's approach, highlighting critical areas for improvement. Although she aims to attack the ball, her footwork lacks the necessary movement up and through the shot, causing her to wait for the ball instead of taking control. We'll also discuss how her racket position and swing technique, like an overextended backswing, can cause a loss of power. Learn how to enhance your forehand by optimizing footwork and swing efficiency to elevate your game to the next level. Perfect for tennis players and coaches looking to fine-tune their skills!

    We have been in a 40 foot yacht at anchor that was laid flat by an extreme catalytic wind. Wind caused a reduction in the depth of water, enough to cause the keel to touch bottom. Wind against mast and hull caused vessel to lay flat for at least 10 mins. Luckily it wasn't enough to cause water ingress before Wind decreased. Scary !

    The ball fed to Fritz was probably slower and stood up more. More time for him to set up and unleash the inside in.

    When I learned to better load my back foot with a knee bend and keep my front shoulder and arm raised, then unloading with vertical shoulder rotation, I started getting more first serves in with more power and kick.

    I don't understand why the 1st guy jumped inside the court that much on his serve. That already put him in an odd position for the following shot given that the opponent was able to return it deep enough

    • @fullcourttennis
      @fullcourttennis 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The server landed where all decent servers typically and 1-2 ft inside the baseline , plus the return was very short on about the service line and the server had more than ample time to see the ball - identify it was going short and move up and around to catch it early . You have to engage your brian and identify all short balls to attack them or you have a hard time improving your level of play

    That was a very poorly timed splitstep actually. Very late. And also very weak. His ready position could be a lot lower, more on the front feet. Contact point could be further in front. The only reason it's a decent rerurn is because the serve doesn't hit a spot. It's right into his strike zone.

      Yes of course , No one plays with Gilbert's continental grip on the forehand today. Different day and age, materials and strings were quite a bit different . All pro players in GIlbert's era started out on wooden racquets
