I just got mine 2 days ago, and have been having trouble understanding the mid/side inputs. From 11.35 onwards, I think I have found the answer. Please correct me if I am wrong. It looks like the original signal goes into the L/R inputs, then out of the L/R outputs. Easy. But from there, the L/R inputs get changed to M/S outputs. Those go to an FX module or whatever, then back into the M/S inputs, converting them back into stereo, before going out of the L/R outputs. So the M/S outputs work kinda like a feedback loop or a sen/return. Yes? No? I'm really trying to figure this one out, but I'm on brand new ground.

I have this module, and just a few days ago, thought of using it with a precision adder. Let's use MI Links for example. Send 4 sequences into channels A-D. Then send E-F outputs into your chosen destinations via the precision adder. A-D are permanently multed to their destinations, but E-F are open. Combine sequence A-B, or A-C, or A-D, or B-C, B-D, or C-D etc...

I may be missing the point, but this seems to be a very expensive (and time-consuming!) way of syncing VCOs to an unspecified pitch. It’s not even tuning them, it’s simply matching them to an arbitrary pitch. I’ll stick with my ears…

A really interesting patch could have been the modification of audio signals via the change of Rise & Fall WITHOUT changing the pitch at the same time, as this possibility is provided by the module (with possible use of non-linear compensation in the V/Oct signal).

Joranalogue Modules in Disguise

it's much easier than it seems. on mac, i used sysex librarian, no need to set buffer. midi cable / adapter are useful to have anyway, i happen to have one, as well as interface, w/that sysex librarian program it was plug and play, rather: drag and drop then press play [after starting seq as shown in vid]. drm seq being one of their older modules, they prob didn't know a good way to incorporate a usb in. w/more research and development they realized not everyone's got one, as you'll see on erica synths later "black sequencer" they've included a micro-sd slot. this does away w/the need for a midi-interface; as w/the lxr module. don't be intimidated, it's kind of fun watching the sequencer update thru a trs cable into an 1/8" jack :D this shit freaks me out i'm not a computer wiz by any stretch, again, don't be intimidated.

Using this module as a simple source for a snare feels like such a waste. Metallic tones I can see, but the processing, and texturizing abilities aren't something I can get with white noise and a lpg.

still v useful module. i like the fact that it both attenuates and attenuverts with A normalised to B section because you can really dial in modualtion sources to a sweet spot by using the attenuator in A section to set a maximum and the attenuverter in B section to set a minimum. Maths does this as well.

Hello before any one buys one they need to know it needs 5v rail power unlike many modules. Also they need to be happy to have a stage of a-d d-a conversion in their signal chain if using it for audio signals as many would like their distortion etc to be purely analogue. As far as i can see all Klavis modules tend to involve digital conversion so maybe that remark is not needed except for the novice.
