Really interesting to see the difference in landscape in the time you hiked it. I also just uploaded a video but for me it was much warmer (like 15-20 degrees at night) and there was much less green, most things were dry and grey/brown! That was in mid-february.

I did that one pretty fast .. I'm a Greenlander from the north-west 🙂

I was there in the 1990's. A little bit less polished than now. It was also winter time and it snowed heavily as we were going up. We even needed crampons on our shoes. But eventually we couldn't go any further due to the snow and ice.

Via ferrata without kit: bad example. Don't imitate this dude. Here in Italy many falls from vie ferrate, some fatal.

I'm planning to do the first half of the AV2 in September, my Cicerone indicated that from Passo Gardena to Pisciadu/Boe and to Rifugio Castiglioni is about 20KM, however there other online resources seem logged much longer milage, what was your record and what is the actual miles you did? You're brave for going in the spring but the lakes look better with ice! We mostly did the trail in shorts and t-shirt (mid-july). Also, I like the quiet and contemplative tone if the video, it really represents the experience that this trail is.

I did this hike in March. We had constant rain and thick fog, so although I recognise the paths, the feel is VERY different lol. Amazing views and great video. Would love to do this hike in "nice" weather another time. Mind you though, the ambience of the fog was special in its own way, it really felt like jurassic world. Only problem is we had no view at all from Pico Ruivo. We were completely wet by the end of it and spent 1 hour drying out gear at a laundromat. Great day 10/10

Would you mind sharing your itinerary? I see you were sleeping wild, but which huts were you able to reach roughly at the end of each day? I'm planning doing AV2 this summer so that would be really helpful! :)

Pagrūti bija atrast vietas teltij ne kalnos, beigās atradu superīgu klusu vietiņu savvaļas pludmalē netālu no Maspalomas. Bāzējos tur veselu nedēļu, biju prom katru otro dienu, manu telti neviens pat neaiztika, nebiju domājis. Noteikti turpināšu iet! Toms no Ogres

Hi, I see some offers that are around 1500 euros + "extra" if you want a guide. You say here that you went on your own, do you need to register somewhere at an access point or just start climbing when you arrive. Is there a place where I can leave my bike and other equipment for 10 days?
