Model ghost train mechanism
A lot of people have been asking for information on the mechanism I used to move the cars on the model ghost train I recently constructed. This video shows the details.

Model Ghost Train
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
This is a 1/48th. scale working model of Pepper Biddall’s travelling ghost train that I help him and his sons Alf and John to build in their yard in Sunbury-on-Thames in 1970. I worked on the ride in my spare time when it travelled with Rose’s Funfair around the Home Counties in subsequent years. Things have gone full circle …. Having designed and built many new rides in the subsequent 50 years...
Magic Garage model in display case
มุมมอง 7K4 ปีที่แล้ว
At last I've got round to making a case for the Magic Garage model. It has internal lighting, and all I need now is a piece of perspex to put on the front. This video shows some of the detail in the model better than in the original video (and without the annoying silly music)

Does your landscaped diorama have a small single-car garage, and you want to park four or more Magnorail cars in it? Then you need a MAGIC GARAGE!

Magnorail - The making of the accident model

This video shows step-by-step how the model was made. The original video of the whole model in operation is at th-cam.com/video/ClEqYktvcOM/w-d-xo.html I'll be starting work after Christmas on a brand new animated diorama which should be ready by early summer 2020. I think you'll find it just as fascinating. If you keep subscribing to my channel I'll be able to afford to buy the parts to start ...

Such a huge fan! Please could you make videos with your voice, it will be so much more interesting and easier to understand! Thank you!
Hey, a car in the river with people probably dying.... "screw them, im riding my bike"... oops... karma hits 😂
Hi there! I am starting a campaign to develop Magnes Board, which combines computer games and micro robots for a realistic tabletop game experience. th-cam.com/video/llanQbT11Cg/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/PBPTmaLJVho/w-d-xo.html and th-cam.com/video/HWPfJQMX1Qc/w-d-xo.html What do you think about Magnes Board?
great help bro. thanks. dbs from INDIA
This is so incredibly cool!
I have a nemesis themed shelf in my room full of merch ranging from 2018 to the future and i am going to make it look a bit like the valley and make lots of rock like this to theme it (i have made a very small prototype and it went well thanks john :))
Brilliant 😍
2:06 "Then have a good look inside the glass..." - that's where I paused the video and opened a bottle of Loch Lomond.
Brilliant stuff- need more please
😄😄
Thanks for the "making of" - Verry funny and brilliant!
Is that Ted Kennedy's car?
#ripbozo he died
Amazing!!!
That "motion" is so increadably smoooooooth. It's really quite breath·tak·ing. Thank you for the video. Cheers from So.CA.USA 3rd House On the Right
Excellent 😂
It is not a garage. It is a TARDIS.
Fantastico....
Unbelievable! I've only just come across these videos of people making miniatures like this and I can't comprehend the skill and patience needed to do it. This little story is fantastic. And that bike with the guy pedalling - amazing. To get the guy to crash did you move the magnarail to the side or something?
The big giveaway of the presence of a mirror is that the growth is too close to the mirrors behind the garage making the edge of the growth look far too symmetrical due to reflection.
Very cool!
I would just like to repeat all the great comments below.
Love it ,very clever 😂😂
Wow...just wow....
brilliant!
I have to wonder if such brilliant choreography could be applied to automate a model rail accident scene of some kind. Probably would be incredibly hard to do a convincing derailment "at speed", but maybe a road-rail collision would be achievable (someone forgets to set their parking brake on a hill, car 'rolls' down as owner "runs" after it, stopping in perfect arm waving to-scale horror as it gets caught by the front of a train, instantly passes out of view under a highway viaduct to hide the transition point, train emerges with a thoroughly destroyed car now attached to it, pass out of scene.)
Thank you very much amazing creation. I love it
Just Brilliant. Regards Chgarlie
Absolutely great video -thanks!
If the tree trunk was split and half stuck on the mirror pannel that would look cool
Great, story in the movement. Way better than repetition. But I fear the bicycle will come again soon...
I love the brutality of the train design. No aerodynamics, no color, just effective for the job. Combined with the imposing size of the freighter on the other side, and the night atmosphere makes this location feel very inhospitable. Awesome video!
Midsomer, obviously.
That is very cool!
This is great, the music tops it off giving a vibe of the Charlie Chaplin era. It took a dark turn at the end though haha :)
Thanks for the great ideas! This is the most realistic option I've seen. It's amazing that you share them with us. Thanks!
Beautifully done, IMHO. Nice sense of humor, to boot. ☮
Love the model - Brilliant nod to Nemesis at 8:27!
And John Wardley!
