The US prison system needs a complete reform. It is a system that preys on the poor, the disabled, and racial minorities. The majority of the criminal justice system is decided by your wealth. Fine based charges, bail, and your lawyer all depend on how much money you’re able to spend on it. And thats just the start. With various crimes being given harsher crimes/unnecessarily being criminalized, the system created a country where only white confederate men are able to vote. The delegalization of abortion, the criminalization of drug abuse, and the lack of care towards the poor and disabled needs to end. It is vile from start to finish. This needs to change.

RC. I shared this with my boss and he had some really good things to say: "Great stuff there... I am a RESULTIST & REALIST Results and Reality are products of the present and the future. I don't care about your past, everyone has one, what are you doing now, and what are you planning to do is what I focus on." -CEO John LaRoy. This guy not only talks the talk but employs the previously incarcerated and a couple on "the registry." One is in a very senior place of leadership. As one of your old (both previous and the gray hair type of old! LOL!) cellies, I think we can agree that we only want an equal chance to prove ourselves. Not equal outcome--that rests on the shoulder of the individual to earn it--but equal opportunity. I opine that the previously incarcerated are more appreciative of an opportunity then someone who has no idea what it's like to lose freedom.
