That’s the condenser coil and condenser fan, not the evaporator coil (as first stated) and “compressor”fan.

we have smooth sheet metal ducts they can go years and barely have a coating in duct

Never heard dryers needing preventative maintenance! I’ve a dryer for 17 years and the only maintenance was a wipe down. They make appliance cheap and to break nowadays

Why glue or sealant is used on these I have a portable washer and the same hose here has the plastic coming from the bottom of the drum but it has a sealant between the hose and the plastic
