could you put the complete album please?
I just discovered this record by accident on Discogs. Where can I get a copy? @rockinrollin
Love.
***Please note that a section of the track "New Song (Guitar, New Song)" was copyrighted and blocked by Swedish musician Håkan Hellström, even though this is the original sample. Truly shameful behavior by the publisher. 30 seconds of the song have been removed so the rest of the historical album can be heard in it's entirety.
Thank you for posting this! I used to hear him on the 94Q Jazz Flavors radio program hosted by Russ Davis on Sunday evenings in Atlanta in the early 80s and saw him live a couple of times at Cafe Erehwon (Nowhere backwards), the restaurant he owned off Spring St near GT campus. Taped a few of these off the radio back then - How Could I, Mama Let Go, and the masterpiece - Nowhere.
Glad you enjoyed! I really like his music too, especially "Nowhere". Been hooked on that song for nearly a decade!
@@rockinrollin1815 Tremendous song. And it's just his voice and guitar doing all that. The "flute" and "trumpet" sort of sounds are his voice.
Thanks for putting this up I had an old cassette copy that was flat wore out. Met Cy at the Cafe sometime between 79-81. Went there every time I traveled to Atlanta. A greatly missed talent.
REST IN HEAVEN JOE…AMAZING TALENT !
All of the songs please! 😊
I'd love to send you a digital version of the album if you'd like. Let me know :)
I'll leave my website email here. If you would like me to send you the album just send me an email, it's fixinit5656@gmail.com.
@@rockinrollin1815 that would be awesome! Thank you!
No way! I was seeing if someone has ever posted this online…my sister is singing the background vocals and playing guitar 😊 thank you!
This is really good. Heartfelt, raw.
Used to be strictly a Roger fan, but now I lean more towards Delora
🙏
Kool!
Great track, thanks.
Alert: typo in title ("Benda Bitner") Thanks, beautiful song
Oops, thanks for the comment. Glad you enjoyed the songs though!
Hello! Could you please upload the song 'Summertime'? - Many thanks!
Just uploaded it today. Hope you enjoy!!
hi hello you have side A PLEASE ?
Unfortunately I do not. I sold this a few years back (which I now regret).
@@rockinrollin1815OK 👌
Hasn’t his music been reissued?
I couldn't find any of his music reissued online which surprised me. He did produce a very rare CD reissue and a newer vinyl reissue in Japan! His first album hasn't been reissued at all yet anywhere.
Third song on this album with "together" in the title. "We Can Stay Together", "We Can Work It Out Together" and now "Try To Get Our Act Together". I'm seeing a theme here! I must say: this is by far the weakest....but most hilarious of the three! (The other two are good!)
Glad you enjoyed all of the tracks! I too find the similar titles confusing and funny. This is one of my favorite albums I own, so unique and out there.
@@rockinrollin1815 I see that some of the tracks on the album are polkas! This is a polka band!!!
Yes that's right! I read online via Ray Skorka's DJ page that he had a background in polkas but founded this group for clubs and parties. The group then switched to a full on polka band in the 80's and made a full LP of polkas. Quite a strange turnaround musically.
@@rockinrollin1815 Fascinating!!!! Thanks for the info!
Ah, I see......first "We Can Work It Out Together".........now "we can STAY together"! I think I'll go with working it out, but this track is fun too! Still......you imagine a band practice where the guys say "We can't have a song called 'We Can Work It Out Together' AND 'We Can Stay Together'....on the same album!" 🤣
Cool little tune! Thanks for rescuing this puppy from the dog pound! 😃
.....even the fade is great! A perfect record!

Big band
Woah, this video blew up! Thanks for all the viewership and I'm glad everyone enjoyed the album. Ironically, I sold the album used for this mp3 two months ago. Wasn't really my jam personally. Please scour the rest of this channel for interesting music I have gathered over the years. If you want to read about some of the music I post, I have a website (shameless self-promotion plug) where I research and interview musicians from the 70's. It's: www.strangedigs.com/
This is NOT psychedelic in the least. Nothing to do with psychedelia.
Reverb and delay , so the suets label it Psychedelic ....
I concur with you. I sold mine some time ago because it wasn't really psych-y enough for me. Pretty much straight up southern rock with some 60's garage and psychedelic influences.
do you have another tracks from this album??
Would love to hear more from this like Summertime / Have You Ever Seen The Rain / Twist & Shout / Louie Louie if they're any good
I'll upload "Summertime" soon since that one is solid and (I believe) has a nifty wah wah solo. The other ones you suggested are absolutely terrible no offense to the band :)
Starting ov and easing into it with good tunes like this. Thanks
His voice sounds familiar and great ,need 200 watts instead of this device, head phone heaven , love the vinyl, coffee and afat one I'm with you , Peace
Not bad.
A beautiful voice.
Some strange mixes, but their sound is pretty cool
👍✌
Thanks RockinRollin Really cool band/album. Formed in Woodstock, NY 1970 .The singer, Robert Lee, was from Florida. His vocals give the music southern rock flair.
Glad you enjoyed the album!
It provided the perfect rhythm for country funk.

Long Island is NOT Southern .. LOL.
Maybe it's the south shore, ie not facing CT. The singer don't sound like he's from "Lon-g Island"
@@loulasher Hello, loulasher You are correct in saying the singer didn't sound like he was from Long Island. Dig this... According to Wikipedia, the band was formed in Woodstock, NY 1970 of Floridian singer/songwriter Robert Lee and a bunch of like-minded southern musicians. I guess one could say they were transplanted southern rockers. That's what gives this northern band their southern rock flavor. Good band/album 👌 Cheers
@@thomassmith8721 thanks for sharing that bit of research!
John fogerty isn't southern but made a career doing southern music 🤷♂️
@@tastemaker_87 Hello Right on. JF wasn't southern. He wasn't born on the bayou. The swamp rocker was born in Berkeley, CA.
THANKS TO ROB BAILEY FOR BRINGING SO MANY OF THESE GEMS TO THE PUBLIC EAR.

Fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed!
why am i crying in the club rn? also i can say with almost complete certainty this album art was created by etching into a piece of linoleum with a nail and then being placed against a black piece of paper :)
Any more info on this demo? Was it released publicly or just private? Looks kind of makeshift.
The guy I bought it from collected metal Lps and cassettes and was based in central New Jersey. The address on the tape is also from New Jersey so he probably found it locally there. It is 100% homemade by the band no clue if it was ever released publicly. Pretty sure I have the only copy found.
Ivan Kral (David Bowie - Patti Smith - Iggy Pop - Eastern Block) played keyboards on this track, along with Glen Burtnick (STYX - Patty Smyth - The Orchestra, formerly ELO -Jan Hammer, - The Weeklings, etc) who sang the bridge & background vocals.
Hey Terry, thanks for adding the lineup and the comment. My dad knew you back in the day in Brunswick, his name was Al Sipos. Recorded in bands Emerald, Akasa, Rainstation. He says hey.
