Patina Oro de Nicaragua Review
Let's look at the Patina Oro de Nicaragua from Mo Maali! This cigar review fails to mention the original Oro de Nicaragua cigar which Mo credits as one of the blends that opened his eyes and made him want to pursue his dreams. Unfortunately I couldn't save the audio from my neighbor's lawn care service, but it should be noted.

Cigar of the Week: Atabey

Atabey Divinos is our Cigar of the Week! This smaller size hits the ground running and may be right up your alley if the larger sizes of Atabey are a bit underwhelming for you. I can't count the amount of holidays and milestones that I've celebrated with Atabey over the years, so I wanted to share this cigar with everyone that hasn't become acquainted yet. Beer & Cigar Pairing with A Brewmaster!
มุมมอง 29516 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
I met up with Jeff and Randy, brewers at the famed Basic City Brewery in Waynesboro, VA! We cycled through various cigars trying to pair with a 4% English Pub Ale they just released a couple days ago. Pairing cigars with beer has always been harder than spirits, and crafting lower ABV Beer is an art just like a milder cigar is an art. Yes, it rained the entire time thanks to Hurricane Helene hi...
What Your Cigar Is Telling You

Let's talk about what the ash color of a cigar means, the importance of the burn line, how the head is finished with caps, how to know if you're smoking too fast, and why your cigar might split on you. I realize that I might should have broke this video up into different pieces and focused on each topic more, so if you have more knowledge to share with the group please don't hesitate! Timestamp...
Herrera Esteli Inktome Review

Let's take a look at the Small Batch exclusive Herrera Esteli Inktome! Pronounced Ink-toh-may, this blend uses a higher priming wrapper leaf and is box-pressed, creating a wholly new Herrera Esteli experience.
Plasencia Limited Edition Ometepe Review
มุมมอง 1.1K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Let's talk about the FIRST cigar to ever use a wrapper from the Ometepe region of Nicaragua! This was an exciting cigar for me because I've always heard about how potent this region is and that a lot of blenders don't even use a whole leaf to radically change the blend. Since it carries a hefty MSRP, I spent more time talking about the pre-light inspection than usual. And, as much as I love the...
Cigar of the Week: HVC Hot Cake Golden Line
มุมมอง 41614 วันที่ผ่านมา
Cigar of the Week: the HVC Hot Cake Golden Line Connecticut Corona Gorda! If you like peppery, bready, cedary sensations this medium-bodied Connecticut might just be your new favorite. I'd place this in the Spice Lords category, albeit with a rare Ecuadorian Connecticut-shade wrapper leaf. These are produced at HVC's new factory in Nicaragua called Fabrica de Tabacos HVC S.A. and blended by the...
Dunbarton Umbagog Bronzeback Review
มุมมอง 68314 วันที่ผ่านมา
It's no secret: the Umbagog Bronzeback was my favorite sample from the 2024 PCA Tradeshow! I hesitated to make it our Cigar of the Week this week since I haven't had more experiences with it to judge consistency, but this blend blew me away yet again today and is in the running for my favorite cigar of the year! Hats off to Steve Saka who continuously sets the bar even higher with Dunbarton Tob...

Love that cigar! What a great point you made. I can't tell you how many times a cigar just blew me away, so i ordered more and then as you said 'nothing'! I am always in a hurry to be blown away again but the cigar is not ready! I also love the crowned heads mil dias!
I am ready to try this!!

@@smallbatchcigar truly great for the industry. And I agree he is on 🔥 now with his blends.
The Bear!
Oh heck yeah! Season 1 was fantastic, can’t wait to dive back into it. Totally forgot
I don’t quite understand why the rating system includes the suggestion of a single when SB doesn’t offer a single (unless it’s some ridiculously overpriced cigar). Thank Jupiter for Neptune Cigar.
Fair point! I guess when we started the Blind Reviews, we wanted it to appeal to the everyday cigar enthusiasts more than just SBC Patrons We went back and forth quite a bit on what the most useful rating would be, and it seemed like what you’d tell your friends was more helpful than a 100-pt score Most of our Small Batch Family also visit cigar lounges though, so a single rating seemed to be useful. It says grab one in case you love it, but don’t overcommit in case you have the same experience I did with it
Man, we've been tryin to do something with singles for a while. Sadly we just haven't figured it out yet with our free shipping on every order. Still working the problem tho
@@smallbatchcigar easy: like supermarket create-your-own sixer. You could make create your own fiver or something with qualifying cigars.
Good♨️
NICE!
Cheers to a great night! 🥂
@@smallbatchcigar I MEAN TO TELL YA SO!!! THANKS TO SBC AND VLAD AT SOMM!❤️👏👏
Great smoke! I like the Ritos best as well, but I agree, each size is it's own experience! 👍🏾
So so good! Can't wait for more Atabey Tubos to come out. That's my favorite time to sample each of the sizes
Nice cigar, man.
For sure! Hope you're having an awesome Wednesday
I get a lot of splitting cigars here in Colorado. It’s very dry like 17% rh. I believe this is caused by fast changes in humidity where the wrapper dries quickly and the filler is still “wet” causing it to expand and split the wrapper. I’ve had some luck with dry boxing my sticks in cello out of the humi for about 8-10 hours to prevent this. Would be interested in an any other insights ppl might have.
Yep! Smoking at altitude is a whole 'other animal. I do miss how I could set my cigar down and go do something and come back and it'd still be lit though. Lol. You're doing the right thing: allowing your cigars to acclimate a bit more first. The humidity we store our cigars in for aging isn't the same as what's needed to have a good experience. Another thing that might be helpful is to smoke slower at altitude. Combustion is just different up there. But dry boxing and slowing your pace down is pretty much the only thing you can do. If you wanted, you could also get some cigar glue to patch your wrapper on the fly if needed. It dries super quick and can be handy if it's a common occurrence
Making my first order this Friday dude! Beyond excited - thanks for your time!
Always a pleasure! Lemme know if I can be of assistance 🙌
This is a very nice cigar, I tried it today per a recommendation of gentleman I met in the cigar Lounge. I’m glad I came across it!
I’m glad you gave it a go! Stolen Throne crushed this size and blend 🥳
Sounds awesome
An awesome cigar, especially in the corona size, a must try.
Couldn’t agree more! Corona is where it’s at 💪
Excellent video
Thanks Big Guy!
Could have just bought a toscano or avanti..
Popular choices. And super easy maintenance. Also cut in half as part of pop culture. Good call!
@@smallbatchcigar they are always my go to for cheaper and decent quality cigars… iv also noticed a lot of cigar shops selling them at the counter for a quick grab… it’s nice to see them finally getting the recognition they deserve from the premium cigar community… hopefully that doesn’t mean price increases but everything that becomes popular in this community becomes more expensive in the long run…
You can't but be enthused by Nicholas's effervescent joie de vivre, and his own personal terruño. ☘
Love this cigar !
I found out yesterday that there's a lot of people that dislike a spicy Connecticut. Myself, though, I can't get enough of 'em!
Excited to try recieved it in my sb cotm .
Please update us once you try it!
Glad u njoyed! Pro tip: try the Duke vitola (54RG)…check out that Maduro and let’s take another run at that interview! Cheers.

Hope you’re doing well Boss! It’s such a joy following your factory journey 💪
Love this structure! Just makes us hungry and need a cigar 😆
Me too! Was so so fun to kick it with Sebastien. The hunger is real lol
This is an absolute stellar blend!!
couldn't agree more!
Smoking this right now out of my COTM and I now want to try the rest of their line. This was my notes on the cigar. Super full body rich maduro flavor right off the rip, deep red wine, white pepper retro, dark chocolate, leather, heavy floral like red roses, coffee with cream, cinnamon
Definitely smoke thru their lineup! Stolen Throne makes great cigars and Lee is a standup guy. My next favorite in his portfolio is the Yorktown Fleet box-pressed torpedo 💪. Super good as well
Also thanks for sharing your notes! Always fun to compare
Small batch…. Seriously…. I’m gonna be broke if you don’t stop emailing me the best freakin deals every day… Top damn notch…. Delivers in two days. Free shipping even with $30-40 orders….. and have the best damn selection….you guys are hands down the 🐐 of online ordering……
Appreciate the kind words! We love being of service and shipping the exact same way we’d want to receive. Simple and fast 💪
Absolute dynamite cigar! Might be my favorite cigar of the year. Already smoked an entire box of them. Haha
Damn you. Just bought two boxes cause of this comment 😂
YES! I can’t wait to smoke another tomorrow. These are absolutely incredible. Dynamite is right
@@RPJK2884 Haha 😂 🤣
I just got one of these from a subscription resting in my humidor now, and I am having a hard time not rushing to try it. Living in south east Texas though, after it sat in a mailbox all day, really want to give it some rest time.
Good instincts! I think your patience will be handsomely rewarded 💪
Watch out according to studies 9/10 cigar shops are selling mold as plume. Test done by Friends of Habanos. Plume takes perfect conditions yrs to form so in turn no everyday cigar shops will not hold cigars long enough for it to form.
From what I remember, not a single sample tested by FoH was anything other than mold. That isn't to say that their sample size was perfect, but they accumulated samples from their patrons on what they themselves thought to be plume. Definitely an interesting read
Mo keep doing what you are doing. Your cigars are fire!!
