I just heard your lovely rendition. A percussionist call that woke me from a nap and there it was on my phone after we hung up. I wake at 5:50a EST to meditate and fall back to sleep. I’ve been an empty emotional shell from several major losses, that within a year left me and my two teenagers homeless that I haven’t recovered from, and major surgery followed after overwhelming stress. I had talent but not stamina to press, so life has been without security “(wayside ground Mark 4).” Thank you for lifting my request to be Raised up/resurrected out of the mire.

Hello Allan. It is June 12, 2023. In looking online for a song for me to sing on August 13 (2023) that is fitting for our sermon theme of "When times are tough, persevere...God is there", I found your video of the 1905 Rev. Charles A. Tindley hymn "Stand by Me". I love your version! It is so simple and so beautiful...and it spoke to me so much. Apologies and pardon me for getting so technical...but I have some questions: May I ask what music key you wrote/transposed your song in? Reason for asking is your version of the song fits perfectly with my voice range of Choir Alto/Tenor. I plan to have our church pianist/organist accompany me...and I would like to know if there is sheet music of your version available? Hope so. Thank you for sharing your music talent gifts with us. Allan, we have similar piano styles. Though He gave me an ear for music, He was not as kind when it comes to my voice. However, I expect to be in heaven to greet you there, as I'm 80, lol, so maybe we will be jamming together someday. In the meantime, thanks for all the great worship moments.

During my quiet time, I am currently working my way through a book called Then Sings My Soul. With each song I go to you tube to listen and read the lyrics. Then I share the song with a friend. I thank you for this beautiful rendition of stand by me. Would really love to hear you sing more of the songs in this book. I have many prayer requests but the most important is that my grown children turn back to the Lord with a burning desire to know Him. Although this year has been hard on many, we are praising the Lord for His goodness. Have a blessed new year.
