Most guitarists aren't fulfilling their potential, not for lack of trying, but because they aren't aware of the best techniques for learning the instrument yet. This problem stems from the fact that most guitar teachers don't directly address how to practice, memorization techniques, or critical listening. Since these aspects of musicianship are mostly mental, the benefits can be felt immediately! After becoming mindful of these new levels of detail, your practice will become much more productive. Too often the focus of the average guitarists' practice has been simply repeating what they can't play until they can play it. The Mindful Guitarist pays closer attention to technique, economy of motion, and memorization before playing a part over and over. You'll get the best sounding results, reduce risk of injury, reduce bad habits, and even lower the number of reps needed to get that new part down. Once you too become a Mindful Guitarist you'll be playing the way you want, fast.

do you know the preset for the amp?
I’m just using a clean amp setting, nothing special here. Amp is a line 6 catalyst 60
how did you get the guitar tone?
I’m just running my guitar straight into the amp, with a little bit of overdrive. Playing a stratocaster guitar and the amp is a line 6 catalyst 60
The most underrated guitar content creator ever!!!!!!
how did you achieve the tone?
Like, comment, and subscribe! Don’t forget to ring the bell!
lmao
You are so fucking amazing holy shit i couldnt find this ANYWHERE thank you thank you thank you!!!!
best lesson I could find. Everyone else uses open string chords and it sounds so so wrong. Legend with the bars.
Nice work! I had a question about the chord at measure 7 (F#m as youve written), shouldnt that be a major chord instead, sounds like that to me on the recording?
Ok 👍
Promo sm 😔
Need more of stuff like this for noobies. Many thanks! 👍
For sure!
@@guitarstrategies5557 Ty.👍

For sure! I mostly post vids for my guitar students, but I try to strike the balance where the videos stand on their own. Andrew Garden is awesome I'm sure I'll continue teaching his songs in some capacity

Thanks bro 🫂🫂🫂
You bet!
I just bought my first guitar ❤
Congrats!
You're awesome, dude. You're doing great!
Thanks!
Thanks u so much dude!
Of course!
Thanks for making this. I wrap my thumb around the neck and use it to mute the low strings on higher power chords. This has always felt more natural to me and less strenuous to me. Then again, that might be because I also use my pinky instead of my ring finger for power chords 😅
Great lesson :) your teaching style is super clear n' approachable! Much appreciated!!
Thanks so much!
One of THE BEST guitar solos ever imo.
It's a killer one for sure! I go back and forth on whether it's actually a guitar. I know live Meg played it, but on the record it kinda sounds like a keyboard? Marco Benevento played keys on the album, and he has been known to use guitar pedals and other electronics to get a more guitar-type sound. Either way, It's awesome!
@@guitarstrategies5557 so I listened very closely and yes the way it’s played it definitely sounds like a keyboard. I know there’s a lot better guitar solos out there but the way that solo sits in that particular song hits me in a way that just hasn’t gotten old since I heard it several years ago.
@@jeffpower6473 I definitely agree! And there's no rule saying we can only learn guitar parts ;)
Confusing mirrored video! Before launching, you should consider mirroring/flipping your clips the RIGHT way
I didn't realize the front camera on my phone flipped the video! I changed it, so thanks for the tip. I will say though, at some point you'll probably play with someone who is left handed. It's not such a stretch I promise :)
@@guitarstrategies5557 You right: For lefties it is surely a good tut 🤪
Thanks!🙏🎸
Just got one for my birthday, it's great used it to record a overdub with bass vi same day and sounded great
Nice! I loved my bass vi when I had one! I highly recommend putting the phaser before an overdrive pedal. Sounds super gritty and thick!
I really enjoyed the comments you made during the video, thank you
Thank you! Glad you got something out of it
Great video … thx
Hi. Is this pedal better to cleans or distorted sounds ? Thanks.
hey, hi 😄
great work man. can I get the tab?
An Awesome pedal, as far as I know an EHX clone, regardless its great love mine
pedal sounds goud
Thanks for watching!
I also own this pedal, and I agree its great sounding
Great video! Thank you for the Tabs!
If you're on a budget, like myself...it sounds pretty damn good! Useing it on pedal steel for certain swells and its nice!
My friend your timing is awesome. However that is not the way RH plays it live. He does continuous 16th beat strumming i.e. 1 e + a, 2 e + a, etc with a lot of chord damping i.e. pressing and releasing the chording hand. I was really struggling with strumming the rhythm to this song until I realized that by watching him live. It makes it way easier to keep the beat with the 16th beat strumming.
You're correct! This video is meant for someone who is still developing their strumming hand. The timing is the same, but the strumming hand moves less so it's easier for a student to catch on.
Killer tone.
lol!
