Yes we need a 10 to create stuff. I’ve been told that Aaronson is doing well from some people. Problem is that he’s not creating stuff for others, he’s doing okay for himself. He’s not a Hernandez who waltzed through defences, scored cracking goals and created chances for others, like he owned the ball. Yes, we need a striker that can score for fun, too. Bamford was rarely that person at his best. Piroe and Joseph aren’t quite cracking the nut, either. One gets some goals, usually off the bench, the other is inexperienced just yet. A regular goal scorer would light the blue touch paper for us and offer real competition up front. Yes there are other needs, of course. But at the moment it’s the teams that come and block us out that we need to be able to overcome, to get points for the promotion everyone thinks we can and will get. But silly draws and surprise defeats do not make a team promotion contenders and I can see us perhaps getting in the play offs right now. We are the team everyone doesn’t want to lose to, their cup final but not ours. We need that cherry on the top that Clarke was for Revie. We need a Yeboah, a Hasslebaink, a Chapman, a Viduka. They all took us to a higher level.

Really? If players fail to bloom it’s the clubs fault? Or have I misinterpreted that. Anyway, people write rubbish, the “New Rooney” was about as unfair as it got for Gelhardt. These kids are popcorn - it’s equal opportunity not equal outcome. Young players see a thread of opportunity and grasp it. Gelhardt’s had a few but evidently didn’t grasp them firmly enough. Context didn’t help him in scoring a ‘hero’s’ goal whilst the true hero was lying knackered beyond the dead ball line at the end of that move. I like him, I hoped he’d do great, but he has to carry much of the responsibility for where he is. He was a premier league prospect on a significant package I imagine- struggling in this league and an ignominious loan to Sunderland has undone that potential.

I would keep Greenwood. Joffy should go out on loan and Bamford should be got rid of but he wont be wanted anywhere.

There will always be the next best thing, unfortunately some don’t work out, sell them move on and buy descent replacements, we need good proven players at the moment, get us back to the prem, then look at bringing on youngsters, Leeds need to be in the top tier

Sell bamford, all the loonies and Harrison and get a good striker

Joe I don't like Firpos behavior towards Meslier and headbutting off the pitch. There are underlying reasons to this. But he is important when we go forward. We ve got to get the second team fullback into the first team. I have always believed in home grown talent

Last spring international break Dan James didn’t get injured, but him missing that penalty in the shoot out played with his head and he wasn’t the same player for the most of the remaining season. I hate the International breaks. Even if players are not injured it messes with the team momentum if they are playing well.

Agreed Joe, we’ve only played 15 games this season and it’s the third international break already! Club football is a million times better than international football. However, if Ramazani and others with injuries can make significant progress in the next ten days then this particular break may have come at a good time for us. I just hope all our players that are currently fit, especially Tanaka, come back to Thorp Arch fit and healthy. Any more long term injuries and we are really in trouble.

If promoted, I can see us offloading Kristensen, Byram and Firpo. And I’m good with them all going.

Thank god no more internationals until March, least fingers crossed we can we can go on a run without having stop for another. And regarding international football ive not been remotely interested in England since under O'Leary when we always had at least 6 England internationals in our squad. Leeds before country always.
