I am relaxed and wanted to be a straight natural but I don’t have good experiences with hairstylists. I did my first relaxer myself 3 months ago and I’m on the edge of transitioning to a straight natural. Any tips on training my roots? I have walked for 5 minutes outside and my roots shrank up the same day I straightened it.

I am not trying to change my texture. I just want to stretch my curls out. I am going to do this by using my Tymo ring plus on air dried hair. My curls bounce back because I don't use high heat.

You need a clarifying shampoo, you have too much product build up, that's why your silk press isn't silky

Omg I'm so happy to see this! I hate straight hair on me, but my hair is easier to manage and beautiful when I stretch it in a blowout. So I've been wanting to become heat trained (or damage, whatever), but every video I saw had heat trained natural in constant silk presses.

Thank you so much for this video. You articulated a lot of feelings I have been having. I am ready to start a similar heat training journey. I am not interested in bone straight hair but I am interested in more stretched styles. I think the braid outs and twists outs were perfect for me in college. I even had Sisterlocs for 5 years. I am now ready for rollerwraps, roller sets, blow out straight hair natural journey.

Do you use a lot of products before flat ironing ? Hair looks heavy , if you do after washing and deep conditioning all you need is heat protection and it will be flowy

You should get a super fine comb and run it in front of ur straightener as you press your hair. Truuuuust me you’d be shocked at what a massive difference it makes. It be bringing the silky smoothness to a whole new level!

A bathrobe or pajama set or towel set might fill the bag.

The first product would probably revert my hair.
