Motorcycle Mods, Camping, Travel & Vlogs - Hey, I'm Jerry and I own and ride a 2022 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. After buying the bike I started watching a lot of TH-cam videos about about motorcycle riding and modifications. I figured I'd start posting videos of the rides and modifications I do so that it may also help and inspire others as the videos I've watched have done for me. I'm not an expert on any of this and am figuring this stuff out as I go. So, not everything I show in my videos may be the correct or best way to do things, so positive feedback is always welcome! I hope you enjoy watching these videos as much as I enjoy making them - ride safe!

Thanks for the good video. Do u have the link for yss upgrade? Did u upgrade the rear too? Thanks
Great bike!!!❤❤
Hi Jerry , what is the amount in sealants for the front and back tire ?
One bottle is enough for both tires. Instructions and measurements are provided on the bottle of sealant telling how much to use for each tire.
Can we use himalayan one ? On gt650
No, I believe the mounting positions are different.
I believe that's the daytime running light and not the high beam down below.
Like your bike . Just don't understand why you haven't put the same size wheel on the front. In my opinion it would vastly improve the look. Could also upgrade the forks for better handling over pot holes and holding your line, especially during cornering . Have fun, Keep your feet on the pegs and your 🛞 wheels on the ground .
May look better but better handling for the front tire to be more narrow than the back. Yes, I upgraded the suspension. YSS fork upgrade and rear shocks th-cam.com/video/xQuw2O7gqQE/w-d-xo.html
That's a good, skillful job. 👍 👍
Thanks 👍
Hello ! Let me why does this relay have only 2 contacts? On my Continental GT650 2024, the relay have 4 contacts … strange
4-pin flasher relay? That is strange. I know the other relays are 4 or 5 pin, but thought the flasher was only 2 (sometimes 3) 🤷♂️ IDK
Hi Jerry One question , at what milles is recommended to install slip-on exhaust ?
I'm no expert but I don't think it matters 🤷♂️ just check with your dealer if you're worried about warranty issues.
Where did you get the metal cowl ? Pls let me know sir ....

Would be interesting if there is a common Hex nut that would fit in the damper? IF so then perhaps there is available "all thread" rod that would fit said nut? which could then perhaps be either welded to lock it? OR a second nut to back lock it into place? If the protruding all thread would be too narrow? a sleeve of some tubing? if too wide of course just grind to 17.?MM (he googed showing that and edited out quoting the small end and instead shows for an instant but only quotes the diameter ABOVE the lower section....however ever so briefly he does show the smaller diameter on the calipers which like I said was 17.? mm (forgot youll have to look)
the Wheel is not "the tire" just saying use more car with terminology and a hex key? is NOT called "an allen bolt" just saying come on man! Also is not a "24mm torque wrench" kudos though for only saying "dampening" one time around 13:58...and yes I AM the technical verbage police
harsh but fair comment
Hi, great review. I’m thinking of buying these for my bike and was wondering if it would be necessary to have the wheels rebalanced afterwards (or are they so light that it wouldn’t really be required?). Guessing the metal valve stems are to replace the standard rubber ones, which potentially over time could crack? Cheers.. 👍
As you said, they are very light and I didn't find any need for rebalancing.
In regards to the licence plate light, isn't it needing to be angled down somehow? How have you found it facing outward since install? Thank you!
The plate light lit the license plate no problem, but yes, the whole plate is angled so that the light was pointing high and shining at the traffic behind me (made me more visible at night from behind 🤣) But I did change out the plate light for a plate holder with lights that I angled up rather than down i.imgur.com/GkNjzi6.jpg
Hey Im still thinking between an X2 or an X3, is it worth the extra money?
In my opinion, the X3 is worth the upgrade over the X2. In addition to a slightly larger sensor, the bigger screen makes it much easier to use.
I IIIIIII
I welded a nut 27mm ,across the flats ,nut onto a rod and then, on the opposite end I fitted over and welded an old 1/2 drive socket so i could have a square drive to fit a ratchet or T bar
Im interesting in your cellphone holder?
I removed the center stem nut, drilled a hole and mounted an SP Connect phone mount imgur.com/a/p3PvwBR
Awesome video Jerry. Looking at those spacers below the battery, do you think if you made a three sided spacer (ie still holds the battery up with one side open) you could use the space below the battery to store a small tool roll perhaps? Seeing as you’re giving up the tool storage to fit the slimline panels 🤷♂️ Love your work.
Good idea, I'll have to look into doing that!
@@RideWithJerry I’ll be very interested to see how you go! Space being such a premium and all.
Which fuse did you use? Headlight?
Yes, the 15amp lights fuse.
The man is a genius
Great changeover! How has it been since the Li battery installation? I am annoyed with the Int650 battery dying on me if I dont crank it every 2 days. Thank you for the video. 🙂
No issues since switching
@RideWithJerry I'll probably do it asap too. Have cleaned and changed all relays to the Panasonic ones already, still no dice. This seems like a good fix to a perennial issue. Thanks!
Man super helpful... thanks
Great stuff pal thanks for sharing.
How would I go about recording with an x3 and ace pro at the same time? Is that possible ? Connecting them both to the same phone …
I don't use the phone when recording, just recording to the camera's SD card.
Hello Jerry. Really enjoy your informative videos.I own a 24 RoEn GT 650 and i ordered this relay but it looks like it doesn't fit. Can you help me out with any info, if any , on the relay for the 2024 GT 650? I'm having a hard time finding an adjustable switch after updating to LEDs on my bike. Thanks and keep up the amazing vids!
My bike is a 2022... someone else also mentioned that the relay on the 2024 is different 🤷♂️ I haven't seen what it looks like. If it is different, may need to wait for it to become available. Update if you find one.
@@RideWithJerry cheers!
It's a great upgrade for weight reduction. I might go this way but first need to do some research on LIFePo4 safety and fire hazards.
What gold did you use I’m having trouble matching both wrap and paint with the gold color
yeassssssssss man .. this is it
nice video, you think you'll ever do a big bore kit?
No plans right now, but maybe someday 🤷♂️

The shorty tail conversion? I used the MK Designs India shorty tail kit mkdesignsindia.com/product/shorty-tail-kit/ I did a video about the conversion th-cam.com/video/FCTT3XpI5O0/w-d-xo.html
Great tip. I did this but sprayed soapy water on the inside of the grips. Slid right on and off easily over that plastic. Literally took about 5 seconds.
I cant thank you enough for a very clear video . I have a small query . I have used 10w oil . I have fog lights on fork and when i go over bad bumps the rebound sound is too much . I have not drilled damper rods . Should i move to a 15w oil considering my fear to be too stiff ride on unexpected bumps and shock on the body . Correct me if i am wrong
15w may be too stiff if you have not drilled the damping rods. You can try moving your fog lights off the forks and onto a mounting bar below the headlight like this accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/information-and-services/Royal-Enfield-650-Super-Meteor-Accessories/49212
Sometimes the damper rod bolt can be loosened with an impact before the internals are removed because there is still spring tension on the parts.
Yes, that's an option👍 I saw a video where someone showed that method. My concern was reinstalling the damper tube. It required complete reassembly of the fork without the oil to put spring tension back on the damper so you can tighten the bolt, then after tightening, dis-assemble the fork to put the oil in. Requires more steps but is a possible solution (if there's enough tension to hold it in place.)
You’ve really raised the bar, well done sir! Future Jerry theme was genius. I did the same upgrade and did the hole drilling, so worth it, night and day difference as you said. I did the YSS rear shocks too but the ones without the reservoirs. Both make a world of difference. @WhatIsTheWheel was the only TH-cam I could find at the time and his video is also great but you nailed it. He too provides specs for making your own tool and getting the parts at Harbor Freight it was super cheap and worth it. I think this is a must do upgrade for any 650 Royal even if you’re new to wrenching it’s not as difficult as it looks.
Thanks! Yes, the suspension upgrade is such a big improvement, better than what I was expecting! I did watch @WhatIsTheWheel video(s). I subscribe to his channel; he has some good videos with great info. I was planning on making my own damper holder tool so I watched his video along with about a dozen others, but then I found the tool for "cheap" and bought it. $59... more than making my own but less hassle 🤷
i did this with my int.650 , big inprovement ! ( even without drilling )
Yes, I watched a few videos from "James 'Slick' England" (@internetpolification) where he did the upgrade WITHOUT drilling and said the improvement was "fantastic! But, in later videos he re-did the upgrade, drilled the dampers, and said that it was "a massive difference!" So, I don't know what the difference really is. Either way you're right, it is a big improvement! But his video convinced me to drill. th-cam.com/video/XPMnkl8J2oA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YbxfbLt-aFVXCCSw&t=201
Ive seen a number of videos on this, and yours is by far the best. thank you. Will be tackling this project over the winter
Thanks, appreciate the feedback👍 It's a pretty simple process (except for removing the damper bolt, it's in there tight!) - good luck!
Loved the edit where future Jerry came in earlier than time
Future Jerry arrived early, almost caused a paradox!
Great video jerry,i went the same route and my local very bumpy road which felt before like the front wheel was falling off at 50kmh i can now blast down it at any speed
Before the upgrade, I really had no expectation or know if I'd even notice a difference... man, was I surprised! It was such a big difference that I actually started laughing as I was riding... now I just need to make sure my new confidence in the bike doesn't overtake my common sense and actual riding abilities when hitting the twisties!
What are the extra bolts in packaging used for? The extra 2 shown earlier
Longer headlight bolts. I didn't need them, just used the existing bolts.
Will the stock Zoom Cruz tyres work as tubeless after doing tubeless conversion?
Yes, I believe so but am not positive since I did not try it.
Great to see you cover this topic. A lot of people seem to be confused and argue about drilling the holes, but I too did research and seems like most experts agree drilling is necessary and it also just makes sense physically. Curious to know your after thoughts. For me the difference on fork performance was significant IMO. I also made my own tool for under $30 and Chuck at @WhatIsTheWheel channel has some excellent step by step on both making the tool and doing the work. Highly recommend this modification. Mine was on a 2022 GT650. Thanks
Mi mancavano proprio quelle misure!! Grazie
You're welcome 👍
Nice one jerry,i made mine welding a large nut onto an old water valve tool, then gradually ground the corners until it dropped in,ive had discussions with people who claim yss told them they dont need to drill the damper rod, fine but you might as well toss the emulators in the bin
Nice! I planned on trying to make my own but then came across one "cheap" and decided to just buy it. I recently bought a welding machine so I can be more "resourceful." But, I've never welded before, still haven't. Got the machine, now I just need to buy a tank, all the accessories and other tools... and then lean how to use it!
Worked fantastically!!!!
Well crap! I just saw this after installing the hard way.
