At His Feet
Welcome to Living Word Cast!
I’m Pastor Michael Chilcott, coming to you from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This podcast exists to proclaim, teach, and explore the Word of God together. Our goal is to provide sound theological and biblical guidance on all things Scripture, helping you grow deeper in your understanding of the Bible and your relationship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Whether you’re seeking answers, encouragement, or a closer walk with God, this podcast is here to help you stay firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word.
In today’s episode, we will explore a profound theme: "At His Feet." This subject takes us through various encounters in the Bible where individuals found themselves at the feet of Jesus. These encounters are not just moments of physical proximity; they reveal deeper spiritual truths about worship, humility, submission, and transformation.
We will stay rooted in the Scriptures and explore the significance of being “at His feet” from a biblical perspective. Let us open our hearts and minds as we allow the Word of God to reveal to us the power and meaning of this phrase.
Part 1: The Position of Worship and Reverence
When we think of being “at His feet,” the first thing that often comes to mind is worship. The Bible frequently uses the image of being at the feet of Jesus to describe reverence, adoration, and surrender. One of the clearest examples of this can be found in the Gospels, particularly in the story of Mary of Bethany.
Luke 10:39 (ESV):
"And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching."
In this passage, we see Mary, the sister of Martha, sitting at the feet of Jesus. This act is one of deep humility and receptiveness. Mary’s position is not merely physical but spiritual. By sitting at the feet of Jesus, she places herself in a position to receive His words, His teaching, and His guidance. This act is a symbol of devotion and attentiveness.
Explanation and Application:
To sit at the feet of Jesus means to humble ourselves before Him, acknowledging His Lordship. It is a position of surrender where we submit our will to His, listening closely to His voice. In a world full of distractions, it can be difficult to find time to sit quietly at the feet of Jesus, but this act is one of the most essential practices for every believer. It is at His feet that we learn, grow, and are transformed.

Thank you for addressing my comment. However I still believe modern translations are corrupt. Have you read the book, New Age Bible Versions? It exposes all modern bible versions. In Isaiah 14:12 modern bibles call Lucifer, morning star. The King James calls him Lucifer. In Daniel 3:25, when Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego are in the fiery furnace, the King James says, the fourth is like the Son of God. The modern versions say, the fourth is like a son of the gods. In other words, it was not Jesus in the fiery furnace but a son of pagan gods. The King James, however, in these last days, may have been tampered with by quantum, fallen angel technology, also called the mandela effect. I cannot prove it, but it seems the technology exists to do this. There is residual evidence to prove all these supernatural changes to Scripture.

To me that sounds like a stretch! I honestly believe that the KJV is beautiful and has a lot of poetic elements. But I believe ESV and NASB are still very much the Inspired Word of God and that it never Changes!

Thank you for exposing false teaching. A Scripture from the KJV that proves the trinity, is 1st John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” These verse is not in some modern translations.

I would encourage you to listen to the Bible Translation Episode. Also I think based on this information that was presented there is more evidence for the Trinity then 1st John 5:7

The book of Jude is very relevant today. We are living in the last days and the falling away has been taking place. It is extremely difficult to find a good church nowadays. False prophets and teachers abound.

The King James is the Word of God in the English language. It was translated by a committee of erudite men, knowledgeable in Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic in the 1600s. It has a language and numeric patterns, not found in any modern version. It was the Bible used for centuries by English speakers. Modern versions, like the niv are based on the sinaticus and vaticanus, which are corrupt manuscripts. The King James was based on the textus receptus.

Read the actual History of The King James Bible. You will see that they took 76% of the New Testament from Geneva and 86% of the Old Testament from there as well! They only translated small parts of the actual Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic. I will make a podcast just for you about this false narrative!

@@Living-Word-Cast The translators of the KJV also revised the Geneva and other Bible translations at the time, to take into consideration. Thank you very much. May God bless you.

Actually they did not, they copied what was already written and made it into the KJV English.

Why don’t you use the King James Version. The other versions are satanic new age bibles.
