Yes. The more patient I am about the installation, the better the connection. Usually… However, tugging with the strap always comes look in a short time. Doesn’t matter how low the tension, it always pulls off.

I run V&H Longshots on my 97 Heritage, and I wonder how these inserts can be used without damaging the heatshields. If anyone has an answer, I'd appreciate you sharing it with me. Seeya! 🇺🇸☮✌

Hello. Mods: Celestion Gold Tubes from eurotubes.com All transformers changed and added a choke. And of course the mod kit itself Results: love the amp. I have right at $1800 in it and honestly, it’s still #2 in my amp arsenal. My AC15 always wins, but they are real close. I have $800 in the Vox. The Princeton lives upstairs and the Vox stays in my studio. All my other amps just collect dust.

Thanks for the comment. Now that it’s acclimated here, I’m having an issue with one of the frets sticking up. It irritates me that I’m going to have to address it. But it’s not like it’s the first guitar that’s done this. One I level and redress, it’ll be the awesomeness I expect. .

I’m interested in the results you get. On the other hand. I’m curious what amp/rig you’re using My custom doesn’t seem brittle to me. It seems very well balanced to me. Maybe you could share a recording of yours? Thx!

I'm using a Fender Bassbreaker 15W and my other amp is a Fender Blues Jr IV with a Red, White, and Blues speaker in it. I did dial back my amp tones a bit for these pickups which helped out a lot. So far I only tried it in the Bassbreaker amp. My next move will be to get a good setup done on the guitar and install a set of PRS SE locking tuners. The guitar still has the strings that came on it too. My regular strings are Ernie Ball 10-46 Slinkys. Although I just tried the String Joy Broadways in the same size on a few other guitars and love them a lot. They really warm up my tone a lot more. So I think I'll go that route before I change out the pickups. It still might change the pups down the road but, first want to see what this guitar can do. Once I get the setup done on it I'll let you know how it sounds. I think the String Joys will do the trick and it will sound amazing.@@jeffmclowry

@artist0503 You’ll probably need to install a treble bleed on the vol pot (across lugs 1&2 Turn the amp up to about 4, dial down the vol on the guitar to a reasonable level. Start strumming a chord and adjust each tone pot one by one until you find the sweet spot. Then experiment with the guitar tone knob. Be open minded and you’ll find some tones that will give you a chub. Good luck.

@@jeffmclowry I'm already thinking about doing a pickup change. I doubt upgrading the strings will be enough for me. I'm looking at a pickup set I had years ago. It's the Seymour Duncan SH-18 Whole Lotta Humbucker 2-piece Pickup Set - Black. This pickup set had the perfect sound and should coil tap well. I think for now I'll do a set up and go from the there. If it looks like I'm 100% on new pups I'll probably do it all at once.

My other pickup choice is the Seymour Duncan SH-2 and SH-4 combo.

Honestly, I don't know what to tell you. As in the video, I sent it in and it came back working. Then the issue presented again. It has been such an issue, I started thinking I was plugging in improperly. But I don't think that was the issue. I haven't plugged it in in about 6 months. I guess now I will have to plug it in and see how it's doing. The last 3 or 4 times I used it, it worked perfectly. I use premium cords. Hell, I use premium everything! I've tried different cords etc. No rhyme or reason. Sorry, I wish I had something to offer. Make sure your cords are working. Verify using other pedals etc. If they work there, be damn sure you are plugged in properly and have a good, solid, power supply. Make sure the jacks and the plugs are clean. Used electromotive spray or DeOxit. Other than that, good luck! Jeff

Yes of course, you're correct on that. But, a basic understanding of the necessity of a certain amount of back pressure in the exhaust shows it to be a positive point. Believe me, I spent most of my life thinking zero back pressure was the ultimate goal. I was wrong and I have proven it to myself repeatedly. The fact that these inserts didn't work out for me in this instance just shows that I didn't workout the details to Tailor them to my application. Why ddb't I work out the details? Because it's not important enough for me to spend that much time in the endeavor. It's less bullshit to just trust the aftermarket exhaust and tune the carburetor to work well with it.

There is always that chance. Any time someone makes something and puts it to market, there are always those that make cheap versions to capitalize on the work performed by the originator. Grizzly is a company that moves products under its name, with their label on the product. As best I can tell, dealing with Grizzly is about like dealing with Harbor-freight. Some of their stuff is ok, but most of it is mediocre at best, and outright garbage the rest of the time. I purchased these because they produce a round kerf, as opposed to the pointy edge of traditional files. These files were a big disappointment because they didn't hold up to light use and because of the absurd price tag, my bad. I have since purchased a set of traditional metal files and have had zero issues and they were nearly half the price of the Grizzly's.

Now now now. The amp is badass! Trust me on that one...

I'm still at it. I don't center my life around it but I still work at it. I am to the point that as I walk, the skin folder over the head about 3/4 coverage. I have about have the corona permanently shinny. Orgasms are definitely better these days. The extent of my stretching is right after my evening shower. I will sit on the bed and pull the skin for 15 to 20 seconds. I actually have a stretching device, but I never use it. Just lazy I guess. Just something else to do EVERY frickin day! lol

Long story short, I sent the carb back to Lectron and they did something and sent it back. I am so turned off to that bullshit, its still sitting in the box. I'm not even sure of its the same carb. It will probably sit in that box till it dissolves into the cardboard. Fuck Lectron!
