Hi, It has been thirty minutes past New Year's Eve. It is currently 12:32 AM on a Sunday in 2023, and I am writing this comment from my chilly bedroom (22°). I am currently writing my motivation letter as a proposal for an exchange program to three universities, and they are located in; the Netherlands, Sweden, and Japan. I just hope that I get admitted to any of the three universities. I am also very thankful for the channel which uploaded this particular video. Bon Iver has been very influential in how I live my life. I am currently eighteen years of age, I've only listened to Bon Iver from late 2019. However, I must confess that my life has changed for the better ever since I've listened to Vernon's masterpieces. While Re: Stacks is undoubtedly his best piece to me, Towers as one of his earliest forms of art in Bon Iver may be my favorite song of all time. The feeling that I get from listening to his original piece (with vocals) is irreplaceable, and I doubt that any music that is to be uploaded in the future will ever come close to this piece. Anyway, I want to thank Bon Iver, Justin Vernon, Parades (for uploading this video), and you all (his fans) for creating such an awesome community. Yes, I am nowhere near as loyal as most of you all have been for the past decade or so, but I hope that my presence here can tell you that; Yes, I am a real person, and that I have the same music preferences as you do. Here is me ranting about the song. I wrote it to my friends but I feel like I needed to post it here. For anyone who feels down. One thing this song reminds me of is Minecraft, it makes me wanna live there, its so calming and peaceful. I wanna have a small little farm, with sheep and cows, and a small house with a chimney, and a kitten sleeping In front of it, it makes me wanna watch the sunset as if its the last thing I will ever see. It makes me wanna hug you guys, my family, and everyone i know and love. It makes me feel like I'm missing out on so much in this expansive world. You know when people say "Live your life to its fullest"? I feel like I haven't done that, I feel like I just sit in a corner alone and continue an old pattern in life that I have been doing everyday. I want to go explore, I want to go into nature and look at all the wonderful things. It makes me feel like I still have so much to do that I still haven't done, It make same feel guilty for no reason, it makes me feel like I'm the worst person on the planet, but I'm changing, every time the song restarts I feel like I got just the smallest bit better. It makes me feel like I'm starting to be grateful for the things I have, like you guys. I wanna meet you all, I wanna just hug you guys and be able to talk in person to you, I love you guys so much even though I barely even know you. Its just a thing you know. And it makes me think about the end of life, about the time when we remember all the things we did, and all the people we ever shared a small bond with. But the really sad thing is, as a Minecraft player, I read a comment once, that said, "One day you will place you last block, and you wont even know it" and it just makes me feel so sad, but so happy that I have ever experienced what I have. I just started crying oh god. All I'm trying to say is that I love you guys so much, I don't know how much more I can write from this song, but its literally just pouring out. I love you, I love what I consider a friendship.
