So awesome!!
I’m so disappoint in this kayak and the awful customer service I received. The service started out good and they have been friendly but man they really are trying to get over on me. The kayak I received was defective straight out of the box, the seams were peeling up in multiple spots on both sides of the boat. There were also scratches all over both sides of it through the graphics and hull, although the top of it was fine. The scratches were covered up with what appears to be touch up paint streaks running down both sides, that look pretty awful. I contacted them about it immediately and while they were responsive, all they did was deflect around it and tell me that “the great news is that it doesn’t affect how it floats).. well on the seams that is yet to be seen but on the aesthetics of it. I certainly did not pay over $1500 for a kayak that is defective in multiple ways straight out of the box. The paddle that I was sent by them was also defective, it came with two right sides and no left. So one of the paddles was upside down, also one of the holes to lock the ends into place was not machined correctly so it would not pop in and secure into place. After experiencing these issues and expressing my concerns to Bote support, they did acknowledge that both the kayak and the paddle were defective. They also however placed all of the blame on their manufacturer and told me that it’s essentially a warranty issue between me and them. However something that is defective straight out of the box is not a warranty issue it is something that Bote should have directly taken care of since it was zero fault of mine and I bought the kayak from Bote, not their manufacturer. After seeing the quality of the products that I was sent and the treatment that I received, I requested a refund numerous times and they refused. They have offered to replace the kayak but said they don’t have the ability to inspect it before sending it out for defects, they also do not have the one that I ordered in stock so I’d have to pick a completely different color. They have also offered to accept a return minus a 20% restocking fee and I have to pay for return shipping (on a kayak that they acknowledged as defective). Honestly I have so little faith in this company at this point that I really don’t even want any replacement, this whole experience and feeling of being ripped off has been too stressful. I’ve submitted a dispute with my credit card company in hopes that they can speak on my behalf and get my money back. I should not be forced to accept a defective kayak, one that I didn’t order, or pay a bunch of fees to return it. I have proof (pictures, videos, emails, etc.) so hopefully this will work out in the end for me. If anyone’s on the fence about one of these extremely expensive products out there just know that in my experience they won’t give you much recourse if they don’t hold up their end of the transaction.
Have you considered calling it the “Vanbulance” !?
@Landonlawrence89 nah... to common. Same with campulance and similar names. We love our handle emergencygetaway but the ambo ended getting named Judy (aka big booty judy). 🤣🤣
I've done this at Teotihuacan, it was an awesome day!
Hey guys, I have a similar E series ambo, what was the model of the Sheel-mann seats your purchased? How have they worked out? Thanks! Love your vids. I'm onto the starlink hookup next.
@THEgeno760 We have the Vairo (i think that's the name). They are awesome and well worth every penny. Contact their custom support and let them know what vehicle you have and even info about the person sitting in it and they'll give you the best option. Their customer service is top notch. We have a starlink 12v setup video if that helps you at all. Best of luck with the build.
Were you able to get a ride in one or is it B.Y.O.B Bring Your Own Balloon
@DangerSk8er you can ride in them. We didn't but we had friends that did.
Oh nice
When he said "Mexico" I felt a cold shiver. It's not the water I'm afraid of.

@RELOADEDEDER have you ever been to mexico?
When I was a kid, we were driving through Juarez, I saw the most insane poverty and way of life. It was like a sketch show, of things getting progressively worse. I’ll never forget it. I’ve been there over a hundred times since, have family from there. Mexico is a 💩 hole

MOO!
Ah yes good old gringos taking resources FROM México
We talk with locals and no one has ever had an issue with us filling our water tanks. We also spend a good bit of money eating and shopping at small, family owned places as we travel through. My girlfriend makes fresh sourdough bread that we give to locals we meet along the way. I don't think a few gallons of water is hurting anything.

Where did you get your cushions from? Great video. Great job on your camper.
@@1StarStella The cushions are from RoamRest. I highly recommend them! They will work with you to custom make cushions or a matress to fit your space. You can also choose the foam layers used inside.
K this is so smart !
@@karenhagg7556 Thanks. We're really happy with how it's working out.
We use a 5gallon bucket and a plunger with holes cut in it. Same principle. Cannot believe how clean it gets our clothes when prospecting.
@grabowskycountry we looked at buckets but didn't have a good storage spot. We liked the bags because they pack small. It is crazy how clean your clothes get this way
@@EmergencyGetaway understnadable,. Enjoy the journey. 🚑🍻

I miss my village Hidalgo Nuevo Leon and potrero chico...
It's a beautiful place.
How tall are you? Im thingking of doing the same but i dont know if i will fit without hunching over.
@funkyjammaclips i am 5ft 8in. Our interior height is 6ft. Most ambulances are 6ft or less. If you're taller then 6ft you'll have to hunch or do a roof raise.
@@EmergencyGetaway yeah I am just an inch above thank you
@@funkyjammaclips just be sure to ask interior height when searching for an ambo. Many ambos are much shorter.
@@EmergencyGetaway ok thank you
Hey! Thanks for making this video. I've had these parts laying around for a minute now and I'm finally going to do it. In your experience, what's the best way to interface with the Dishy once everything has been changed over. I've got the whole setup (unmodified) on the roof of my van and typically keep it in the flat position (via the app) but would like to tilt occasionally. Any tips on the easiest way to do that?
@natebaird I'm glad I could help! You still use the starlink app to work with the dishy the same way you do now.

Bro ! really you have ads everywhere on here. Jeez. Everyone wants to make that you tube money. Just a huge turn off. ✌️
@@Joey-Vega What ads?? I'm not eligible to place ads, so if they're popping up, that's youtube doing it to me. 👎
Us creators have no say where or when the ads pop into our videos that’s all on Google and TH-cam, and even if we demonetize a video they still will put ads it doesn’t matter we cannot stop them. That’s what you get for a free platform.
Thanks for jumping in with some more info.

How did you wire the solar. I am building an ambulance and was curious how you did the wiring
@pennsylvaniahillbilly3817 the wiring in our rig is completely different now. Our house electrical system is completely separate from the truck. I'd highly recommend joining some RV solar groups on Facebook. There is a ton of information there! Basic setup would be solar panel to charge controller to battery.
