I've heard this melody in some video from Strážnice I think from CM Burčáci sadly in bad acoustic quality and since then for so long been trying to find out the title so I could find more versions of the song. Now you've uploaded just that :D Beautiful version and finally a title to this beautiful song :) Although I think it was a different text in the other video. You don't happen to know another title to this melody, do you?

This is hard to hear for me, although it's such a beautiful song❤ I lost my brother a few weeks ago to a very long, lonely and gruesome death, he was a drug addict. My mother, myself and my father tried our whole lives to protect him, but he chose not to let himself being helped. I love him more than every other human because we shared our lives as close as no-one else up to a certain point when the drugs turned him into a monster. It must be devastating for my parents to see their son go forever and in such a way after having raised him for 36 years with every inch of inner strength they had, they gave to him. I am devastated too. I did the same for him since I was born, my whole life long. This song makes this seemingly useless horror and effort so clear. Trying to save someone who cannot be saved and all the years and efforts and love and caring seem in vain. My brother also wore a white shirt when I found him liveless on the 17th of October. I will never forget that image. I know the song is about a whole different topic, the war. But my brother was a soldier, too. And he would have deserved better. Moravian and Slovak folk music has been my main love and passion for about 4 years now and always gave me strength and inspiration. And after his death, because of lines like these, I couldn't listen to it for a short time, because it triggered so much. Now it helps me even more, every song I listen to. To me it will forever be my favourite culture and even death won't part me from it, as weird as it sounds. I am very thankful for your uploads because all the songs you uploaded since then kept me from falsely distancing myself from this wonderful world of beautiful folk songs I maybe would have given up due to anxiety and trauma. Although it was exactly the thing that helped me with both before this happened. Due to your uploads I was too curious and had to click on the songs I didn't know yet and they always helped me in various ways and kept me with the culture. Now I can't even imagine giving it up at any time any point in my life, as it was before. Thank you for that🙏❤️ and please excuse this very long and personal comment. But I wanted you to know how important your channel and your uploads are and how much your wonderful culture is of worth to other people.

What a beautiful song and very different instrumentals from most other ones I have heard(I mean the way the instruments are played here)! Also I never before heard a folk song from Brno, I think! Mostly only Slovácko and Valašsko.. But I always wondered what folk music from Brno would sound like or if there even is folk music from Brno that sounds similar to the one from Slovácko. You said it is from Líšeň? One question through - why does the hashtag say "slovakia"? :P Or is it originally from Slovakia? It doesn't sound like that in the least, at least to my ears! I would love to know more about the song and folklore from Brno :) As always, thanks for uploading! <3

Wow, this is so beautiful and touching... My eyes were wet, honestly, such a sad and emotional song.. <3 Beautifully sung and played. Wonderful video, this is the oldest recording of the jízda králů I have ever seen. Thank you so much for uploading! From when is the recording? There are flags in red and white, so I guess it would have to be shortly after WW1, also because of the quality of the recording? Which would make it the oldest recording I have seen of Moravian culture ever. Absolutely fascinating, thank you!

Great song, thank you! :D I find it so interesting how certain lines are to find in many completely different songs with always the exact same words or almost the same. So intersting to see how folklore develops and travels and changes in different regions but how some lines stay the same. In this song for example I knew the lines "můj koníček sa leká, viďa turka z daleka, že tam bude vojna veliká. Můj koníček sa trese, že ňa na smrt ponese, má mamněnko pomodlete se." from the song páni, páni vojanští páni

Since there are soo so many beautiful versions of this melody with different text, do you know where the melody is originally from? Probably it is impossible to say, I know. I only know I know lots of wonderful Moravian, Slovak and Ruthenian versions of it and even a Lithuanian one! I bet in Hungary and Poland are versions too. I would love to know how this melody could travel so far into so many cultures and why, the whole history of it...

The song sounds familiar, what is it called? Beautiful! I would love to hear it in full version!
