It’s not even Germans. Player who play in German leagues are generally underrated. Look at the talent discussion recently. Long time nobody looked at Bundesligas Bellingham or musiala but instead at talents from Barca or real who are clearly worse than e.g, Bellingham, yet Bundesliga talents have a harder time reaching fame or winning awards bc of less attention and fans
