Dalit Hamlet Attacked by Land Mafia in Bihar's Nawada District | 80 Houses Set on Fire
On Wednesday night, a Dalit tola in Krishna Nagar village, Nawada district, Bihar, was attacked by a group of alleged land mafia. The attackers, armed and in large numbers, torched 34 homes-21 completely and 13 partially. The attack stemmed from a land dispute, according to Nawada SP Abhinav Dhiman. No casualties were reported. So far, 15 people, including the main accused, Nandu Paswan, have been arrested. Police continue to conduct raids to ensure the arrest of all culprits. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar condemned the incident and called for swift action.
