Thank you for your kind words, everything was done to be as functional as possible but still be light weight & good looking. Geoff & his assembler team in MI do a great job & have an eye for detail.
I saw one and got a tour getting its hydraulics and engines installed down the road. That one had synthetic radar and satellite comms too. The Engineer gave me a full tour. I have to say the quality is off the charts. The innovation is just that, like nothing I have ever seen in all my years of owning small to large Lake Michigan boats. Proudly made in Michigan. No ginics and everything so functional and purposefully designed and masterfully crafted. Well done !
Quiero uno 😢
Amazing. Is this street-legal and boat-legal in the USA?
If I had one of these, I would modify it to look like a shuttle craft from star-trek!
I built mine out of an old pontoon boat here in the USA
How much?
Phil Bolger might have wanted a word if he was still alive.
Hey Jeff, who is Phil Bolger, never heard of him in Australia & unsure of what you mean, please explain,

Well done Australia, well done.
Cool boat!
Wo gibt es denn das Boot zu kaufen
Looks good bit not a new idea, they were built in Britain in 1968: th-cam.com/video/v223HkqHJbo/w-d-xo.html
They build them in 70'th in Sweden welded in aluminium cald husvagngsbåt eng caravanboat , I have one of the first build. th-cam.com/video/VGLsJof0Hko/w-d-xo.html
this is interesting and straight incredible. but I do wonder how would it do if u live in Northern Russia or Canada. would u freeze or need a generator to heat. the Australian bruder homes have become vary popular in europe...especialy sweeten and Russia .up there in the artic either Nordic or Borealic regions
How much does the 750 cost?
Please email info@caraboat.com.au for information & pricing which varies depending on which country you are in.
It looks like a shuttle in star trek
Thanks Mike, we thought the same when we designed the CaraBoat!
@@caraboat275 I like the design and layout but it's not the boat for me
Thanks Mike, Happy New Year!😃
@@caraboat275 you as well
another video with overpowering music !!!
Are these in the states?
Brilliant idea. Love it. Just wondering how they would handle being used in say Moreton Bay..? Can they handle any chop..? Or purely an ultra calm vessel. ?
They are only meant for sheltered waters Martin, they do handle a chop quite well but I've seen Moreton Bay when the wind is up, not a nice place!
Where can i buy one?
how does it do in salt water?
In Australia where we use the CaraBoats, there is only salt water, so no problems there.
@ft997 there are some freshwater rivers but not many.
@ft997 The west coast has been dry but the east coast has had towns flooded, torrential rain. We are in La Nina weather pattern for the last 2 years, hopefully it will finish this year.
This is awesome but I think you need to make one you can drag along on an offroad trailer and have some side protection to avoid damaging the caraboat. This would give you all options of adventure, from taking it across remote areas to the beautiful lakes and seas.
Mükemmel,...
How much will it cost in Bangladeshi rupees? If someone wants to buy, how to buy?
Please go to www.caraboat.com.au & have a look around, then get back to us with which model & we can provide pricing, the base price is on the web site which gives you a good guide.
I never seen anything like this🇺🇸
I live in The Netherlands, this would be perfect for all of the canals we have here.
Is this for sale in the USA?
Although the concept is not new, well that's a lie, these were made back in the seventies I think in England they made them an other manufactures have been making these for quite sometime.
If you read it correctly, it says, "although the concept is not new", that means they know its not a new idea, & they were made in the 60's in UK, much smaller & less powerful though.
St.Johns River is a great place for one of those
Reminds me of the CaraCat in New Zealand of 1967, but smaller.
I wonder if these are sold in the US. I would love to have one of those.
Prince 145.00K which is too high, it is fibre carbon and worth 50K
Thats AUD , not sure what country you are in, that equates to around $95,000 in USD
@@robshenn6125 $95K is somehow reasonable I estimated $50K
Brilliant 😎
supper
be nice with a deck on the roof
We do have that now, the rear shade canopy opens, there is a ladder, take your towel, chairs drinks & a book up there & your all set.
there were boat/trailer hybrids already back in the 50's. they have certainly come far from those days.
I'd love to have this
What kinda people would give this boat a thumbs down? 🤔
'Caraboat' aka Caravan/Boat: A House You Can Float (1968) | British Pathé...: th-cam.com/video/v223HkqHJbo/w-d-xo.html
Looks like my new home
Our convenient stern platform allows fully grown Salt Water Crocodiles easy access to tasty food.
Don't forget the baby ones too, lets not discriminate lol!
$150,000 - thats a lot of boat
Formidable
Amazing!
I love it. What does it cost if picked up in America?
Can you please email us for info Mark, also check out the new larger 8700 model oat www.caraboat.com.au
They must not have mosquitoes or bugs down-under ... no window screens...???
The insect screens at the bow are concealed in the roof ling, it slides down when required, the rear door is screened & the very large side opening widows have optional screens that also pull down, they are hidden behind the curtain pelmet. We find when in boat mode that are not always required, so just kept them hidden. We can supply a magnetic screen to the galley window if required too. Always happy to assist if you have any further questions Nick. Regards, Rob....
Haw much brother
If I owned a slip in S Florida or the Bahamas, I’d live in it ! 💀
I like it . It can be used in both land and water. great!
In the mid 1970s I worked for a builder in UK. We were converting the Caraboat factory at Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire into one making "Carburol" oil products after the UK Caraboat company went out of business. So this isn't a new idea but a re-invention.
You are correct, this is stated on our web site home page & on our TH-cam page (May 22 2015 when we first posted) there are many incarnations of a trailerable houseboat style, it just makes sense to be able to holiday your way.
