As a multipotentialite, I've lived so many careers so far so change was very welcome and almost craved. It wasn't until recently that the door closed on my last chapter that I knew wasn't right for me that I started to feel the weight of societal expectations to actually build and make progress in one area. Usually, when I transition I line up the next stone in my life path before jumping to it. This time however, when one door closed I haven't been able to pick which new door to build. For the first time after maybe 10 different careers/chapters/jobs I've had terrible analysis paralisis. Worrying about which one will take the lomgest to start up, what if I grow out of this career option, I like this one but I feel like I couldn't really do it if I don't live in x place or go back to school etc. etc. I LOVE your take on the fig tree example because it encapsulates a minset I've been trying to cultivate: that choosing one doesn't nullify or mean I'll never get to taste the others. I might not have the solution to this yet, but it's so comforting to hear others opinions on the topic.

Hi Octavia, I recently discovered your channel 🥰. I can totally relate to being known as the 'weird' kid growing up. I became so quiet out of fear of saying the wrong things. However, as I got older, I stopped caring about social norms and just continued to do what makes me happy, even if I didn’t fit in for the most part.😊

We'll see how cheap I am. Thanks for the inspo :)
