Got the fly more combo with goggles and motion controller 2 days ago and already have 9 flights - flattened all 3 of the batteries each afternoon, and have been having an absolute ball doing it. Sure I have crashed it a handful of times, but that's because I am doing things I NEVER would have done with any other drone - flying under chains, between tree branches, under and over bushes and through the tall grass so close I can hear it hit the body as it goes through. One thing I have noticed is that in lower light conditions it looks extremely grainy, and the color is terrible, but it is pretty good in normal sunlight, especially considering the price. I have not used the built-in modes for following etc, but that will happen on my next days off
Please clarify: Are the DJI goggles necessary to fly the Neo with the DJI controller N3 or the Motion 3 controller ??? I'm told the Goggles are the control link to the Neo.
To fly the drone you dont need any controller. To fly FPV you need the Goggles and the motion controller or the dedicated FPV controller.

I love that you included your daughter being able to use it! I just gave my daughter my Avata 1 when I upgraded, but I was thinking about getting her a NEO for more regular use.
as others mentioned: Neo got flyaway issues and DJI forum is filled with the issue.
I dont know when they say fly away if they are referring to the issue that DJI uses the bottom sensors to keep drone in place and when its to dark for the sensors and no GPS is fixed then the drone goes go crazy this is very true. As for fly away with full gps fix i have never had this issue. I also do know from more then 10 years experience with DJI drones. NEVER EVER put the drone on e metal surface and power it on. Like powering it on while on the car is very bad. It will make the magnetometer go crazy and can cause flight issues. I wish more people knew this and that DJI would mention this.

Everyone should get the Exo blackhawk 3pro, best mid range drone.
I agree this drone is super fun to fly. Just don't fly it towards the sun as the lens flare is terrible.

I went with the Motion fly more, and you should have shown it flying FPV just to demonstrate that it can do FPV like things. Its a jack of all trades -- master of none.
If enough people ask for I will make a FPV video of this drone

This also is the drone to get people enthusiastic for FPV flying! With the N3 goggles as cheap as they are it's the perfect starter kit for FPV! After a lot of fun (much more fun than a simulator) you can always upgrade to a FPV drone with O4.

Thats sad to hear. I have not had any issues with this one and trust me I have put this thing trough hell and back! Having that said if you fly it in low light and without GPS it will go nuts as it uses the bottom vision sesnors for location
But I have a question.. how I can setup for not beeping when the drone is off?
You can have a switch that turns off all sound!
Set report_cell_voltage = ON Save Activate this in betaflight and you will get battery cell votage in your telemetry )) U can setup for 3.5-3.6v for both 4s and 6s...
everyone saying the camera is rubbish but to me they look great , but that might just be my eyesight at 70 🤣👓

Not bad at all, but much worse than DJI's other drones
If you are just using it for social media, it is fine. The only one who notices the video is bad is yourself when watching it. Your friends watching it online won't care if it's 4k or 1080p clarity. As long as the content is good.

Yes, the camera is objectively not as good as drone that costs twice as much, but that's the point - the little Neo is great for the price, and certainly 100% better than not having camera drone at all!

Ha ha! My Neo is arriving today from Amazon, should have been here yesterday but their DimWit Driver got lost!... Anyway, yes, I am looking forward to getting this little drone up there. I've got the Mini 4 Pro and Air 2s, both for different purposes. With those Drones, even the very small Mini 4 pro, they do weigh you down when paired with the RC2.... So I have specifically bought the Neo so I can have it with me All the Time. I just cannot do that with either of my other 2 drones. Even though I can pair it up with the RC2, I'll be using it as a Standalone... Good Video by the way!
It all depends on the individual.... The only way to get your rates right is trial and error.

Aside from it falling into water, did you have any high impact crashes on it? It seems to be able to take quite a beating.
After the Drone was soak in the water...what you do?aside from transferring all your data... so that I can do it also if ever my dji neo was soak also in Water..
submerge it in dry rice
@@klanecaldea2825 in the car on the way home I hang it in front of the air vent and let is get hot air thrpugh it but not very hot just 20-22 dgrees then rice!
Sometimes it's good, having Cat litter at home 😅. I have a neo and tested the ActiveTrack function for Mountainbiking. A nice little Drone.
