Picked up a couple suitcase weights for this John Deere 1025R tractor. The local dealership had these 41lb weights in stock. They really help with keeping the front tires on the ground and steering. The 1025r performs much better with just about anything that will add ballast weight to the tractor. Feel free to contact us at: HOEBROS@pcscontracting.com Thanks for watching!

    Use the largest machine that isn't encumbering or overkill. 302 is for jobs that can fit a 303 or 304.

    I ran a lot of the older 330 and 345. Great machines. I am not too impressed with the new ones. I was weaned on the 235 and 245, those were amazing, and still going today.

    I'm buying my second 1025r (2024) without a loader assembly (the first 1025r (2022) has a permanently mounted loader and backhoe. The new tractor will just be using a 60D mower deck and a RT4049 tiller. After seeing this video I will definitely be buying all 5 wheel weights. Especially since I'll be tilling a hillside going up and backing down.

    I just got my 302.7 and it’s plenty big when working right along the walls of my house, at times seems a little too big. It all depends on what you’re doing. I haven’t tried digging out a tree stump yet.

    I never had an excavator and the 302 seems fine to me also because it has longer tracks as the 301.8 (301.6), but anyway there will be always something which we miss or we don´t need. It is unpossible to built one machine and that would fit exactly everyones wishes, right!

    well by comment Cat needs to make the 305 a hi flow machine as well like the 309 and either as a swing or standard boom and then cut the other 3 models for more production eff.

    I would think a decent mid size tractor could bushhog that in a lot less time and a lot more efficiently. Looks like a nice, flat area with no obstacles like stumps or boulders. I appreciate the video with the cutter but not sure a skid steer used for mowing grass is the best option.

    I've seen alot of good equipment online lately but I never seen any of them bring their equipment to some real hood brush with old stumps and brush mix together, I believe either they are scared because they really don't believe in their products

    I mow for a living about the last 13 years. Now I use a Kubota 5740 and a bush hog 1812 and this isn't 5 acres. I can do 3 acres in about an hour and 15 at that growth height and it is a once over and clean with a 12' wide cut running about 2.4 to 3.4 MPH. My old tractor with a 7 footer could do 3 ac in about 3 hours. I think you need a new watch and need to measure that spot on maps.

  • @DavidSmith-fr1uz
    @DavidSmith-fr1uz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's either not 5 acres, you're going faster than it looks or it took more than an hour. If it were really 5 acres, 84" deck and mowing it twice, you would have to be traveling 10.25 miles an hour average to mow it in an hour. And that's with absolutely no overlap and no turnaround time. Realistically, you would have to be going around 12 MPH and it doesn't look like you were moving near that quick.

  • @JeffreyStrader

    $150,000.00+ for a glorified Riding Mower is a WEE BIT on the expensive side....Your equipment simply isn't feasible for the average Lawn Maintenance business.

    Not possible !!!!! I’m a novice w/this machine !! BUT I bush hogged as I grew up , on a Ranch in Nacogdoches,TeXaS !! We had beautiful pastures ! I hit um hard ! 5’ box ! 😳😬😬5 acres in an hour ???? N you mowed it twice !!

    • @DavidSmith-fr1uz
      @DavidSmith-fr1uz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree. To mow it twice, he would have to be going 10.25 MPH with that 84" deck with no overlap and no time for turning around. He would have to be moving at around 12 MPH realistically.

  • @jessedixon6719

    Firstly you hit the continuous flow switch. You have to have a jumper plugged into the electric work tool connector in order to activate high flow or xhp flow. You did that in standard flow lol 🤦‍♂️
