POWER SEAT NOT WORKING IN NISSAN ALTIMA..SEAT NOT MOVING
2009 Nissan Altima power seat got stuck reclined all the way back.. most people said to hit the seat motor to see if it’ll bring it back to life . In this case and is important for this this to be your issue is the seat works in every way besides one button or two . Power is shared through out the whole power seat control module so if one is working MOST OF THE TIME NOT ALL THE TIME ... it’s just the buttons are stuck, gunked up , contacts are to far out of spec . Power way to fix this is to replace the module but being that i couldn’t even drive the car due to seat placement i needed to temporarily move it !!!!. Mine ended up having a broken plastic tabs that controls the switches functions ... maybe yours is just dirty etc etc if you’re reallly fancy you could even plastic weld a new little plastic and get it to work who knows just trying to save you guys some money !!!

Not a diy ... just some helpful info because i found none... gonna need some pb blaster, maap torch a good hammer some swivels and a socket set ... repair manual for car says to take out steering joint and exhaust bracket and starter can come out ... they lied it doesn’t fit maybe after some time the motor shifts on the mounts making that area tight let me know if you guys can get it out try to...
The driver seat in my Titan is reclined and won't lean forward. I hope this is the solution. If so, I will probably put some pieces of tape between those contacts so nobody will move it again.
I took a utility knife and trimmed the corners of the recline slider and elongated the hole so the plastic has more throw. Switch works now. I snapped it in and found I had to also elongate the hole on the seat trim. Works now
Man I appreciate the video thank you
Thank you for the video followed the instructions and fix the issue thank you again
Good shit
I have a Nissan Altima 2013, this is the worst car brand, they use cheap quality parts that’s why the same shit breaks in almost every car. I had the shifter break as well, did a quick search and saw dozens of other videos. And now this is the exact thing that happened
Some of the questions that people ask in these comments a lot of times i feel like answering but they are, not gonna say dumb cause the dumb one is the one that dosent know and dosent ask, but majority of them are common sense, like this one. If its in the seat its gonna be called the seat switch 😂. Especially if its the only set of switches in the seat. Also when u are watching these instructional videos to learn if u pay attention 99% of the times the part being spoken about would either be in the notes or the content creator mentions it one or more times throughout the video . And majority of times it's in the title of the video like this one. If your really not sure about it, and are not mechanically inclined with basic stuff like in this video, you should be asking dad or big bro, maybe a friend or a trusted professional instead of wasting your time buying the wrong part or messing around with a car with something u are completely unfamiliar with and possibly damaging something else. Just saying better to do it right the first time.
100% works on 2012 Nissan maxima! Thank you for your video!
Mines works just missing buttons
Sweet thanks brotha. Your video gave me some anxiety like I was in the titanic submarine fixing to implode but you likely fixed my Titan seat and for that thank you 2 thousand times and my god bless you on your way
Heros don't always wear capes. Thank you, good sir. I just saved a bunch of money by fixing it myself. Bought the replacement panel from Amazon. 23 bucks later and it is fixed.
where did you order?
From Amazon
@@therelaxationchannel999 please can you share me what to search for it just making sure im buying the right one for my 08 altima
🎉
Thank you it took me 10 minutes to it myself 💭🙌🏾
Great video bro! Thank you💯
SUPER helpful! Thanks bro
Thank you boss , u give the expensive knowledge to us🙏🏻
On my 2008 G35x I disconnected the steering u-joint, took the bolts out of the rack, undid the drivers side tie rod, pried the rack back as far as I could get it, and the starter slid out thru the hole behind the drivers wheel. The solenoid has to be pointed to the rear and the starter comes out nose last.
Thanks for the quick fix
This video was the best!!!! My seat was the opposite went forward but not back I followed exactly what you did and I was able to get it to a comfortable position and left it be. Thank you for sharing this video!!!!
THANK YOU! I can go to my interview now. Totally f’d up the seat right before I was gonna leave and this video saved me.
Thank you for sharing. Fixed mine watching you
This is the BEST!! Thank you! Thank You!! THANK YOU!!!
Thanks bro I just put a little piece of paper in between the two pieces to push the contact down and now I’m good 🤝🏽
Thanks a lot man! it helped me with my x-trail
Thanks you so much! My car seat was stuck for more than a year, I thought it was just dead, then I see your video, minutes later…. Magic lol Thanksssssssss
Thanks man you the best
This video was extremely helpful!!
Thank you very much. It worked for me.
Yeah you really went all out on this one
Extremely helpful. Fixed it easily after watching this video. Thank you
I JUST had this happen to my 2011 Altima 2.5 S. I knew it wasn't the motor because when the switch works the motor works and sounds fine. I also wasn't sure if the seat needs removed from the car to replace the switch. Thanks for clarifying that.
I removed my starter whole without removing the rack n pinion or the subframe. Really just have to wiggle it out from the front where the oil pan is. All those extra steps are unnecessary (08 g35 sedan)
This is a g35x
WOW!!! You just saved my legs and back !! Ladies/gents/ teens/ beginners.. you can do it, it took me 5 minutes!!! Simple simple simple. Thanks !!!!!!
4 years later and there's still nothing to help out with the situation thank you so much for posting this video it really helped me in a time of need
It worked. Good looking, my G. I just ordered a new one on Ebay.
Only 10-20$ now brand new just replaced one very easy. Seat wouldn’t recline forward or backward this fixed the issue.
Just did this, save me from going to garage, you save me bro 🙏🙏🙏
Dude, this worked!!! Thanks for posting.
I was looking for a video to see why my memory seats aren’t working, no power in setting them and came across this, thank you for showing and teaching us something new.
You just saved my daughter’s life!! LoL 😂 I fixed it and now she can keep driving her car comfortably and not looking like she’s cruising down the street like my Old Cholo Days. Ha Ha Ha Ha 😂🤣😂🤣😂😂 Thank you so damn much! You are the MAN!! 👍🏾👌🏾🙏🏾
Thanks amigo, it really helped me
Thank you so much! Just followed these instructions to get my seat back up. Good to know an easy'ish fix!
Thanks for the video. I was about to try and hot wire it to get the seat back. Super easy fix
I tried this and it “kinda” worked. One of the leads on the switch were bad, so all I did was strip a piece of wire and put one end on the middle lead (hot lead) and the other on the one that wasn’t working. Flipped the switch and it worked! Hope this helps
Thank you very much brother for this video.
I have a 2012 Altima coupe same exact issue, what I did is press the entire plastic panel on the side of the seat in then press the button! Works when you apply pressure and press the button same time taking nothing apart
Thanks! BTW, why do you take the switch apart you got to replace the whole thing anyway don't ya?
Just saved my butt!!! You’re the best!!!
Awesome great vid same here im going to sell my auto so not going to fix would have liked to have seen this vid a couple of years ago ugh anyway live and learn thanks
Thanks for the video, i had the same issue for my 2007 nissan altima and after watching your video i am able to fix the reclining issue with seat, thank you so much for the video
