Jan Mayen Norway | World's northernmost sub-aerial active volcano | Beerenberg stratovolcano
Jan Mayen, Norway.
Jan Mayen is a volcanic island in the North Atlantic Ocean, 600 kilometers (370 miles) northeast of Iceland and 900 km (560 miles) northwest of Norway.
The island is dominated by the 2277 meters - 7,470-foot-high Mt. Beerenberg, the northernmost active volcano in the world, which last erupted in 1985.
It is the world's northernmost sub-aerial active volcano.
The Island is 55 kilometers long (34 miles) and 373 km2 (144 sq miles) in area, partly covered by glaciers around the Beerenberg volcano.
Upper slopes of the volcano are largely ice-covered, with several major glaciers including five which reach the sea.
The longest of the glaciers is the Weyprecht Glacier, which flows from the summit crater via a breach through the northwestern portion of the crater rim and extends about 6 km down to the sea.
Jan Mayen was formed by the Jan Mayen hotspot and is defined by geologists as a micro-continent.
The island is a territory of Norway, and has no native population.

Whats the requirement to become a Maritime Pilot in Port of Split?
Usually Master licence and experience as a Captain...then manouevring hours and practice, as minimum.... Honestly I do not know the details as each port can have their own rules & requirements...best to go on their official site and check it properly....cheers and good luck

Hi. Just abt 3 to 3.5 km from Flam train st....once you come under the waterfall its abt 20 - 30 min easy climb up by foot to waterfall. Cheers
