I think for me personally, I will support a group of adults even if their music isn't exactly my taste because it shows companies that we want more adult groups which in turn can hopefully lead to more companies debuting adults instead of minors and lead to the type of groups that instead of just supporting, I want to actually stan because they not only have the music I want, but are in a similar age range to myself. I definitely understand the sentiment of not supporting JUST for their ages, but to me at least, it's less about supporting just their ages and more for the little promise of what their ages can hopefully bring about in kpop as a whole if they get the same support that groups with minors get.

Stop stanning children

As much as we'd all like kpop to be about music and talent its simply not and people praising a group for having all adults is a right step in direction because kpop is such a toxic industry for minors and a lot of the times they don't know their rights as artists because they are simply too young. Not to mention companies target minors cause its simple to manipulate them with the promise of debut but they don't talk about details like work hours and pay. A group I'm highly worried for is UNIS wherein almost all are children except for one member, their company has gotten away with letting the kids perform while sick one fainting and another one coughing althroughout the performance smiling to seem okay. Its honestly disgusting how people praise them for being professional when that's kids prioritizing work over health.

*READ IMPORTANT IMFORATION BELOW* ⬇ I’m making this award show now in September, because I have to also do my end of year all Korean group debut ranking and end of year favourite songs Kpop megamix as well and both of those take time as well to make. I want to make this one now, because it will take some time to make as well. I’ll make the forms soon once I finalized the nominees. Also, since I’m now a rebranded channel who focuses on all sorts of music, I decided to add some new categories as well (I think it’s only 3 new categories) for nugu artists. So, stay tuned for it, and I hope that you listen to all the nominees and pick a clear winner. Also, one last thing. I’ve skipped out groups like Kiss Of Life, Purple Kiss, Cravity & TripleS (with its subunits like Aria & Glow etc.) and some others from boy groups and girl groups who are not nugu or unpopular or maybe idk if they’re nugu or unpopular so I left them out entirely. It was unfair in my 2023 award show that TripleS won some awards and even Purple Kiss too despite them not being nugu/unpopular at all, and I didn’t realize it at the time. So, for this 2024 edition, I’m gonna keep it as real as possible and not add groups who are actually well known to the point that people will see my forms and might instantly pick them without checking out the other nominees to see if they’re actually deserving more. So, please listen to all the nominees and pick well, and for the categories where I let the viewers decide (the album of the year, song of the year & artist of the year for kpop), please do not pick groups like TripleS (It’s subunits), Purple Kiss, Kiss Of Life and others. Try to keep it as nugu/unpopular as possible. I won’t add them to the award show if you send them in. If any of these non-nugu/unpopular groups win on the forms for these categories, I’ll not pick them as the winner, but I’ll pick the next winner (who maybe is nugu or unpopular). So yeah.

yeah i think a lot of idols don’t like their music i mean take keeho from p1harmony as an example. he doesn’t enjoy other people replaying their music or telling him to play it because he finds it cringe from some reason (not word by word of what he said). i think first all its similar to hearing your voice being replayed in a video, you hear it and you’re kind of like ‘eww is that how i sound?’ if you compare that to music and on top of your voice being in songs that are quite experimental or that is definitely not going to suit the your vocal tone then you’re definitely not going like the songs. linking this to rehearing it hundreds of times for the sake of promotions alone (not including all performances since the soundtracks of the songs are usually altered after a while) but if you watch those vlogs where kpop groups prepare for their comebacks they usually learn the choreography using the demo version of the song first which i find quite interesting. plus being an idol is a job, and i can definitely tell you that no matter how much you enjoy your job you’re going to eventually become sick of it or certain aspects of it, some idols can hide that really well whilst otherwise can’t which is probably why stage presences is heavily criticised by fans. similar to showcasing a slideshow and having grumpy attitude whilst explaining each slide.

for the second point, if you think about it, they have to practice singing and dancing to that song for weeks before it even releases, let alone during the promotion period, and even afterwards they practice it for hours a day to prepare for live performances. i'd think it becomes more like muscle memory after so much time spent doing it.

Let me just say this, toxic girl group stans who hate on boy groups for no reason just hate on them to feel superior for "supporting women" than men.
