Gunshot Creek Cape York, 2024 For those who don’t know this is the entrance to a creek crossing on the famous “OTT” (Old Telegraph Track) in Cape York, Far North Queensland and is an almost 4 metre (12 foot) drop. As the name suggests this was the track they used to maintain the telegraph line extending to the tip of Australia before it was replaced by Fibre Optic line in the 80”s. No, you don’...

Love it Jimmy!
How do you find the bass on the kick drum and also, I’ve heard mixed reviews saying they distort when pushed a little. Curious to know what you make of that ?
@@micktmusic We often get comments from the audience on how good the bass sounds on these speakers. We haven’t had any problems with distortion but we don’t push them too hard, we use a bigger PA for larger gigs (outdoor, back of a truck type gigs).
Can I ask what month this was please

Why? drive down an excavated ditch, bragging rights? Why aren't you on a forest or lumber road, discovering places you never been and view you haven't seen?
This is the entrance to a creek crossing on the old telegraph track in far North Queensland, a very remote and iconic part of Australia. This track is often regarded as a bucket list destination for 4x4 enthusiasts around Australia and the world for its challenging terrain, remoteness, beautiful landscape and Yes, bragging rights 😂
@@jimannett6256 hope you dont have to go back that way?
@@glenns001 No you don't have to but it has been done, typically the track is done South to North then back via more developed gravel roads.
That land cruiser looks bad ass. What year is it?
2002
This is childs play compared to when we went in 85 and 92.
Nice job mate. It seems as though these work great for acoustic gigs like this. How do you think a pair of them would go with a 3 piece cover band at a typical pub gig? About 80% of my gigs are acoustic solo or duo but would love to know if these would suit my trio cover band. Cheers for any insight you might have! Dave in Tassie
@@davidwicksmusic Sorry I missed this comment for some reasons, you have probably forgotten you wrote by now. We use a pair of these for a duo with backing tracks, used them at large RSL in Corowa last night, I’d have no hesitation using them for a three piece for a standard Pub gig.
@@jimannett6256 Cheers mate! Didn't end up going down that road with speakers but am still considering one for my solo gigs!
Only 6 speakers and made in china.thr LG line array has 16 speakers and made in UK and more cheeper
More doesn't always equal better. Do you mean LD? The LD is much more expensive and has the same SPL and is heavier, only has an 8" sub, and only goes down to 43Hz. So the HK wins out based on all that. Edit: It's made in Germany, not China.
This bloke is pretty popular, not only at the RSL, he does parties weddings, all that. He is a great guitar player also....
The Polar 10 is available for AUD$1499 new on EBay. I'm seriously tempted to get one and don't need the extra bass of the polar 12.
Would a pair of these work for say 150 person DJ wedding?
I would say easy and this 100% better then evox 8
@@MobilediscowirralCoUk are you talking quality and/or spl? Or both?
@@stanbailly7856 bit of both bass & added tweeter helps too
We now have a pair of these and regularly play to large weddings and functions, no problems at all.
@@jimannett6256 do you use an external mixer or go directly into the units themselves? Great demo and great music.
What did you use before this...?
We used to lug around our bigger KV2 system (ex10’s & ex2.2 sub) the KV2 are excellent but much more convenient to use a little system like this for small acoustic gigs.
Mine arrived today, pumped to road test it and see what it can do
We have 2 of them now Steve, very happy with them.
This young man is going places in the music world.....
Arthur Annett not so young.
