RobLog Reutlingen houses all of the videos for the RobLog project, an EU funded project #270350 to develop a cognitive and autonomous robot capable of unloading shipping containers. Through the project, one software platform was developed for two demonstrators o show the dexterity of cognitive and autonomous unloading abilities. The Advanced demonstrator is capable for unloading of heterogeneous or parcel goods, while the Industrial demonstrator is designed for the unloading of heavy sack shaped goods, such as coffee sacks.

If the sacks are loaded by humans, they get loaded in a interlocking way like a brick wall. These sacks are all uniformly loaded that's not a normal situation, this machine has to be able to unload real loads from real containers. But I have realised this is training for this system.

It looks slow, but it's at a constant speed and it won't stop . Plus the slow speed guarantees the quality of the product and reduces damage of the items. And it will run day and night seven days a week three sixty five days a year, perfect worker.
But truck driver will not wait that log
Don't be fooled by saying "it's too slow" , "and it will never work" people, this is the mark 1, just like the first car's could not go faster than thirty miles an hour ! . Wait for the mark 2 and the other mark's too come , they are working out the kinks. Then most of the jobs at the wear house will be covered from off loading, too storing, too , reloading too dispatched and then final delivery and not a single human from start to finish ! .

Yes your right it is slow but could you keep working constantly for hours with no breaks ,with one truck after another coming in too be unloaded, from morning till dusk ! , Perfect worker ! .
