I am a DJ with several years of experience, haling from Wroclaw, Poland. I had the opportunity to play in the best Polish (and not only Polish!) clubs and festivals. As DJ Duch I focus primarily on dusting off lesser-known electronic vintage sounds (90s/00s) from Central and Eastern Europe. I produce my own music, which has been released on labels such as The Very Polish Cut Outs, Transaltantyk and Lucyna Records. I also run my own label, Superkasety Records.

90s oldschool gabber hardcore techno from Poland :: [Gurlitz Grand Prix mixtape by DJ Duch]
The “Gurlitz Grand Prix” mix is nearly an hour of fast music recorded and released by Polish artists in the 90s - gabber, hardcore, fast techno, etc.
I recorded this music mix for my friends from @slavodomstudio to accompany their latest release, “Gurlitz Grand Prix.” It's a racing RPG game set in the world of Slavborg, which can probably be described most briefly as an early 1990s Polish-Czech-German borderland lore only there are goblins.

About gabber music:
Gabber ( Gabba ) is a style of electronic dance music and a subgenre of hardcore techno, as well as the surrounding subculture. The music is more commonly referred to as hardcore, which is characterised by fast beats, distorted and heavy kickdrums, with dark themes and samples. This style was developed in Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the 1990s by producers like Marc Acardipane, Paul Elstak, DJ Rob, and The Prophet, forming record labels such as Rotterdam Records, Mokum Records, Pengo Records and Industrial Strength Records.
Gabber remains highly popular in the Netherlands, and has seen a major resurgence in recent years. Gabber formed as an underground, anti-establishment movement with small, underground raves, most often illegally held in empty warehouses, basements and tunnels. Rave parties such as Thunderdome, held by ID&T and Mysteryland, became hugely popular, eventually becoming part of mainstream Dutch culture in the 1990s. The music and culture quickly spread across Europe and the world, finding a home with the rave communities in countries such as the UK, Spain, Italy, US, and Australia.

ktoś wie jak się robiło taką muzę w Polsce latach 90tych? skąd się brało sample? jakiś hardware, czy wszystko in the box?
Z tego co ja wiem to głównie Amiga i heja, a sample z CD dołączanych do czasopism muzycznych. Nieliczni tylko mieli syntezatory i bitmaszyny

Kapitalna selekcja! Tęsknie za tymi czasami, a jestem z pokolenia "Melancholijnego Oblendu" :- )
Właśnie przy okazji robienia selekcji do tego mixa znalazłem też trochę takich bardziej melancholijnych niż „słonecznych” triphopów, więc może i coś w tym stylu skleję za jakiś czas :)
