The real answer is sacrifice. For decades, all Singaporean men had to give up 2 years of their life to serve in the military, thus guaranteeing Singapore's security and safety. Might not seem like it but Singapore is one of the most militarized countries on Earth.
I am currently in the car with you're uncle ron
@@ZekeHibbert Hey Zeke, thanks for watching and say hello to Uncle Ron for us.

hello Aaron I'm your second cousin once removed 😊
Enjoy your stay in Singapore 😊
Love your video❤
@@Eddiewong-f9b thankyou!
Thankyou for Travel Blocks Sandra and Aaron. Would love to see Singapore again. My memories as a young child. The Long causeway between Singapore and Malaysia, a sacred cow with five appendages, lots of steps and staying with Governor and his wife. Swimming pool, fans, verandahs. Sandra and Aaron did you see any vestiges of the British occupation?
@@ShirleyCooper-f2d thankyou for your comment.😃
Occupation? Colonialism
Sadly was part of the colonialism!!@@NewmaticKe
Great video! My nephew was recently asking me if I had heard of this walk and I hadn’t. Come to find out you guys have done it. Looks like you saw several snakes too, yikes!
Welcome to Singapore ! Go to the River Wonder & Night Safari.
@@joshnlil yes, if you watch the video you will see we did that 😉
We just came off a 10 day cruise on the star great ship everything was great
Thanks for sharing! 😁
Good job guys. Hopefully we can catch up at Chrissy. Mike.
Love this Sandra!! When you're back "home" in Australia do you stay in airbnbs or with family? How long have you both been retired for?
@@susancassar6423 when at "home" we stay with family. We have been retired since the day we flew away- 22nd May 2023. 😃 thank you for watching!
I am so sad we didn't try the Milo Dinosaur when we were in Malaysia. We saw it in a night market but were too full and then never managed to get back. It looks delicious! 😁
are you still living there?
@@a1bi0rix174 we never lived there, we did stay there for 6 weeks, "living like locals".
I first discovered Milo a couple of years ago in Georgetown, Penang. I didn’t realize it was Australian until watching your video.
Yes, and we have the pure stuff here 🇦🇺 😉
Great video! I always love monthly spending videos. It gives us something to compare our spending with. I’m anxious to know which loyalty program you were working on.

@@TomChase-yb7fg YES, little did we know that we would actually sail on this Ship! ⚓😜

Thanks! We've enjoyed your Camino series, we keep saying "we ate there too" "I remember that section" and you had the botafumeiro- super special!
@@travelblocks I'm glad you've enjoyed them, we agree it can be fun to re-live those memories with other pilgrims! 😁
Great to see it can be peaceful!
Carnival doesn't have the fit out of Royal Caribbean or Celebrity cruises - for example the shower curtain needs to go - but Carnival certainly has better atmosphere.
We just finished our first RC Cruise, the shower door instead of the curtain is awesome! Every cruise line has its pros and cons. We hope you enjoy your travels and keep a lookout for our RC episodes to come! 😄

It's nice to see a couple of Aussies doing this type of video. There's a swag of American doing the same thing but I guess it's easier to relate cos it's in AUD.
@@natwhite7121 Thanks for watching and commenting. That's why we made the decision to make these videos, so many US videos, no Aussies! ❤️
Just got off NCL Star. Our biggest complaint was the toilet! To small and confining. Larger people would have hard time with the size. Food was good and service was great. Ship needs a refresh. This was our 3rd trip with NCL and will probably do another but will try to get a larger cabin next time.
@@ritaturi9125 yes, I agree- the toilet cubicle was tiny, I had trouble fitting! We also changed the beds to twin.... I wish we had filmed that too.
I did the Camino twice , alone, and yes;sometime I splurge by taking a single room. But the cost you detailed are huge. Of course I always carried my backpack abd with flying from Italy and the train I did spent less than 2000euros and the first time I did it in 45 days, the 2nd time I took buses to cross the large town to avoid the suburbs. One of the purpose of the camino is frugality and it is a bit lesson. I did it when I was 68 and 69 year old.
Thanks for the detailed information on cost. I find your cost to be right in line with others have said of 2023/2024 of 50 euro a day per person. I think your total sounds high as it was 59 days for 2 people.
Thanks for sharing! Me and my partner are going to go travelling next year - we are very excited. Quick question - are your figures in NZD?
