I tend to agree that the best Protestants are the best Catholics. Although I am a cradle Catholic, I had a great Catholic Mother who taught me to love and appreciate the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

😂😂 Vatican II did not do so much to the Holy Mass, it gave more choice not removing anything as so much important. Vatican II did change but that doesn't make Holy Mass invalid bcz it's an Authentic Council. Don't give jokes about Russian Orthodox. If you are gonna talk about TLM and Novus Ordo Missae, you don't have to bcz both are Authentic and there is a reason for doing so. It's funny you are saying this similarities between certain aspects of Catholic and Protestant worship, it's important to recognize the fundamental differences in theology and ecclesiology. The Catholic Church, even post-Vatican II, maintains its apostolic succession, the seven sacraments. Vatican II aimed to make the Mass more accessible and participatory, they did not fundamentally alter the Catholic understanding of the Mass or the sacraments. The Rosary, icons, and traditional devotions remain important parts of Catholic life, although their frequency may vary across different parishes. Icons and statues are still a common sight in Catholic churches. Example: Our Church still follows Vatican II bcz it doesn't oppose Icons or Rosary. Comparing mainstream Catholics to fundamentalist Baptists is a significant oversimplification. I would say to you that you should first ask the Vatican why they are favouring one type of Catholicism of the hippies and the Biden-Pelosi crowd? Don't deceive yourself into think you are in the Catholic Church.. To be catholic is to be in the fullness faith being protestant makes you a branch of the Church not a catholic. You need to come to full union with the church Christ Himself founded.

Nor are several of its dogmas taught in the early church. Roman Catholicism is largely a product of the Middle Ages. It is an historical development. Are there many fine Christians in Roman Catholicism? Absolutely. Can Roman Catholics claim the primitive church as exclusively theirs? No. The three major branches of the Christian religion (Protestant, Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox) can claim the primitive church as their common heritage. The early church is our common mother but none can claim her exclusively. The scriptures teach clearly on the Catholic Church, who is in it, who is its head and how it is visibly manifest in the world. Roman Catholicism departs from this at several key points. Are there millions of Roman Catholics who are part of the redeemed and thus part of the Catholic Church? Absolutely!

​@@paulsmallwood1484 Jesus gave the church authority. He did not give Luther or Calvin authority to lead the lay people astray. You are not in full communion with the Church. Jesus specifically told you to eat his flesh and drink his blood yet you deny him. Claiming you are already saved or redeemed is the sin of presumption. We are told to always work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

But Jesus intercedes for us He is the one who died and ressurected.... In the Bible verse it says where he is and what he does. Romans 8:34 Jesus intercedes for us at the right hand of God, and no one can condemn God's people.

Thanks for introducing me to a Saint I never heard of! Evodius was Bishop of Antioch 53-66 AD, successor of St. Peter, appointed by Peter when Peter left for Rome. Peter’s successor in Rome was Linus, our second Pope. Successor of Evodius was St. Ignatius of Antioch, who is of course very well known, especially for his letters and his martyrdom. Ignatius was the first to call the Church Catholic, around 110 AD. Have I got all my facts right?

Even the Vatican will tell you they split from the Orthodox Catholic Church in 1055 which is why they do not claim to be the only Catholic Church but admit Orthodox are Catholics. And by your logic all Protestant Catholic denominations have to do is gain more followers and claim they were started in AD 22

It clearly states that Mary has an inseparable union with Christ, and that this union involves her with the Son in the work of Salvation. SHE IS THEIR CO-SAVIOUR. Therefore, you worship Mary as co-saviour, because you can't worship Jesus alone as your Saviour, disqualifying you from getting saved. Want to keep playing dumb and testing my knowledge? Bbecause of the Ten Commandments. Jesus made it very clear, if you want to get to heaven, rich young man and Matthew 19:16, keep the commandments. Well, one of those commandments is honor your father and mother on this earth. Well, because we are members of the Body of Christ. What Scripture says we’re brothers of Christ, right? Well, that makes Mary our mother. But even more radical than that, we’re members of His Body. Does anybody know a mom who just gives birth to a head and not a body? The point is, of course, Mary is our mother, just as God is our father, Jesus is our brother, and we’re members of His Body. And so we are bound by the Ten Commandments to honor our Blessed Mother. And if you do not do so, you are breaking one of the Ten Commandments. Secondly, in God’s plan of salvation, he deigned a unique place for the Blessed Virgin Mary in as much as he deigned for Jesus Christ to come into this world. Not part of him, not 50% of him, the whole Jesus comes to the whole world through the Blessed Virgin Mary. And we see that at the incarnation, of course, famously in Luke chapter one verses 37 and 38, when the Blessed Mother says, Let it be done unto me according to Thy word. The result was the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. And you and I can be saved. But you know, Lumen Gentium in a beautiful section 52 down to about 69 in Lumen Gentium beautifully lays out the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary did not end. I mean, if it ended right there, that pretty much says it all. The whole Jesus comes to the whole world through us. But we also see how that God gave a unique role to Mary with regard to the salvation of all, not just in the Incarnation, but the wedding Feast of Cana. It’s through her intercession. Jesus begins his ministry, and according to John 2:11, the Apostles come to faith, and Jesus performs his first miracle and begins to manifest His glory through the intercession of Mary. And then on we go - and I don’t have time to do everything - but at the foot of the Cross in fulfillment of the prophecy of Simeon in Luke Chapter two verses 34 and 35, behold a sword shall pierce your soul. And what’s fascinating about this prophecy is he had just said This child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel to be a sign of contradiction which shall be spoken against. And of course, there he’s referring to the cross and the fact that Jesus would die for all. But then in the next breath he says, a sword will pierce your soul all also that the thoughts out of many hearts would be manifest. So in other words, the same people. That’s all of us. That Jesus. Oh, this is so good, folks. The same people Jesus was dying for. Mary is said to suffer for and it will be the joining of the sacred heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in that prophetic suffering which would be fulfilled at the foot of the cross, that Mary gives birth to all of us. And you see that so beautifully laid out in the Book of Revelation Chapter 12, where Mary gives birth to Jesus and verses 4 and 5, and in verse 17, she gives birth to all of us, and that is so perfectly made actual effectual there at the foot of the cross. And of course, that gift goes into eternity in Revelation 12, because she continues to give birth to all of us. So that’s just a little thumbnail sketch of Mary’s role in God’s plan of salvation.
