Awesome video tour! I've always been fascinated by the GMC Motorhome. I've only seen one in person, but I was on the road, so I couldn't really talk to the owner, much less get a better look at the rig. But I could tell by its silhouette that it was a GMC Motorhome. What year it was, I couldn't tell. If only there were more places all over the USA that did custom work and engine swaps for these vehicles. :)

It's a shame that the GMC Motorhome was never offered with a diesel engine, Duramax or otherwise. Has anything been done to this GMC Diesel Motorhome since this video was posted?

My only wish is that they could've given us viewers an interior walk thru as opposed to so much talking. In other words, let the product speak for itself! Sometimes too much chatter is offputting.

I love it! Ever since i saw these, i wondered if a diesel conversion could work. Bravo!

EGT will also depend on the mixture. Leaner=hotter. Not sure if a wide band O2 sensor will be accurate with LP. How does the temp compare with gasoline? Or did you have the pyrometer then?

Goodyear and BF Goodrich are very popular quality tires but once you get above 33" tires mounted on 15" rims and used on old trucks with leaf spring suspension front and rear,..any out of round larger than 1/8" will be felt at any speed above 60 mph. I don't care what brand tire you use. Many newer trucks/jeeps etc use larger diameter rim sizes so the tire side wall on them is shorter which makes the out of round tire less probable,.. not to mention modern suspensions limit the effect.

23-footers do have duals. I have one and all the ones I've looked at have duals as well. Somebody did terrible things to this baby!

6/32 on passenger car tires,truck mud & snow can be much worse.

remove the rocks,we kept a dull ice pick for rocks & don't miss the nails,they dull the cutter faster than rocks

new tires are not perfect,I have seen new that are in excess of 6/32 out of round.they got returned & replaced with better.radial tires are out as well,I don't believe I have seen a perfectly round tire in 38 years at the same job.radial tires are more forgiving of slight defects but truing bias ply tires (for older car restorers)will give a much smoother ride.

I chased BAD tire vibrations for years and finally fixed the problem by sanding them while still mounted on the truck idling in gear while in 4WD, on jackstands w/Harbor freight 6" belt sander. 2 sets of 35" mud terrain tires were out of round by 1/4" to 9/16" and returned them in exchange for TWO MORE sets of the same brands (Goodyear Wrangler MTR's & BFG MTR's, 16 brand new tires total). Everyone of them had excessive run-out and repeated balancing by the tire store and me made no improvment.

With two sets of new 35" tires (BFG MTR's and Goodyear Wrangler MTR's) mounted on true 15" aluminum wheels (I had a BAD vibration that would literally make the hood shake on my 69 Chevy Stepside 4WD between 70 and 80 mph. Balanced them multiple times with no improvement. Spinning them on tire balancer or while mounted on the truck, they were anywhere from 1/4" to 9/16" out of round! Fix was sanding them on the truck idling in granny gear 4WD with a Harbor Freight 6" belt sander sitting on ground

@coolio2281 Truing isn't done to a new tire (if a new tire needs truing, it's sent back). Truing, by nature shortens a tire's life, but it makes an otherwise faulty tire usable. It's rare to see truing done to a steel-belted radial tire, but until the late 1960s, when bias-ply tires were almost universal, truing was common. When a vehicle with bias-ply tires is not driven, the tires will eventually develop flat areas. It often can be 'driven out', but not always...hence, truing.

What is the fuel consumption?

@torqueluvr I think only 26´ GMC Motorhome has dual rear wheels. This is a 23´ model which is very uncommon (most of GMC Motorhomes were 26´)

just use inconel valves and hardened valve seats and you will be fine, my turbo mustang ses between 1500 and 1800 EGT's and inconel valves hold up just fine..

What chassis is this? Was it originally rear duals?

Nice job on the coach! It's amazing how creative you can be with a 30+ year old body, a modern chassis, and a creative artist. Nice job, more lights on the next BusHole!
