I fix and make things sometimes.
Toyota Yaris 2012 recirc (recirculating) broken
Recirc to outside air knob was a bit stiff. I forced it, it went pop and then was loose and stuck on recirc. Plastic clips popped out. Nothing was broken. Don’t force it, take glove box out and to the top right of hole where glove box goes, there is a (probably beige) curved diverted/flap you can wiggle with your hand if it is stiff. All panels are push/pull pop clips and are reusable if not broken. Try and be even and you may need some sort of prying apparatus, as the clips are tight.

Positive Earth International B414 ammeter showing discharge - see description
มุมมอง 75ปีที่แล้ว
If your McCormick International B414 ammeter is showing discharge instead of charge, your battery may be the wrong way round. These tractors, the early ones at least, are positive earth. In my case the charge was 15v with negative earth - too high. It did climb to 14.8v at one point, which isn't shown in the video, but it is not as high and not as consistently high when negative earthed/grounde...
McCormick International B414 water pump

My water pump was leaking. I almost expect aftermarket parts to be poorly made, but either it is more complicated than it appears or it was poorly designed in the first place.
David Brown 780 coolant temperature sensor resistance test Ohms
มุมมอง 3403 ปีที่แล้ว
I can't promise this is correct, I can only go with the readings of a new sensor I have, but it looks about correct. For exact Ohm readings you will have to figure out the 2k 20k maths of the multimeter; or not. This test can be done with the sensor in the tractor.

I said washer throughout the video instead of o-ring. I'm not doing it again so just substitute the word in your brain.
David Brown 780 pto seal
มุมมอง 3963 ปีที่แล้ว
th-cam.com/video/3WxKlDjqeeQ/w-d-xo.html The link above shows the new seal installed. When I removed the cover/holder, it was caked in decades of grease and dust, so i couldn't really see what went where. Hence hacking the seal out with a screwdriver. Also, sometimes you only have so much time and have to do a bit more doing than thinking.

That was helpful. We bought our tractor with no gauge on it at all so now I know what to fit.
Thank you!🎉
Good explanation for someone who’s English isn’t a first language
It is, I just don't talk well.😀
How fast can I drive
don't know. quite fast I would expect. depends on 'sail area' of load, how windy it is and perhaps weight.
What would cause air bubbles in sediment bowl
What’s causing that??
Condensate is as acidic as lime juice. You're correct.
My dad just bought an 880, glad i watched this. Didnt know what the valve was for
What does the exhaust manifold drain tube do the tractor ? 🤔 I have one on my 1985 Case 1294 too and have been wondering ever since i've had it 😄
It drains water if it gets down the exhaust when the tractor is not being used. Otherwise the water could enter the engine through the exhaust valve. They get blocked with soot often. I’m just an owner and diyer: not an expert, though.
@@usefulcontent9894 i get you don't worry 😄
@@usefulcontent9894 is there a way to clean out the sooth/carbon off them ? Like working with a tiny piece of wire through the whole pipe and then pulling it back ? 🤔
@@lucasbergfors9446 Never tried, but it might work. If you can get it off, there are chemicals you can buy to put it in that dissolve carbon. Don't know any brand names. As a start it may be worth blowing some compressed air up the pipe. Might not be badly blocked.
@@usefulcontent9894 alright i'll give it a try when possible 😁
You’re the hero we all need. Thank you!
Great information 👌💯
What does the dump valve do.
Increases hydraulic oil flow when on return/unpowered for faster operation. Example, a tipping trailer will drop faster when the dump valve is operated - the weight of the trailer bed can more easily push the oil out of the ram because less restriction. It's not something that is used very often or essential.
Thanks for the upload. Did your central locking work okay after installing the bars?
Central locking worked fine. My car is a Toyota Avensis early model.
@@usefulcontent9894 Thanks.
Thanks for putting that out,I’ve had my 780 for about 20 years and never used it,someone gave it a twist and I lost the lift arms, took ages to find the cause. CHEERS😅
What part number or size is that seal? Mine has no part number
I never looked for a part number. I just ordered a new seal from SPS Parts (UK), based on the make and model. Their number appears to be K11119. About £15.
Thankyou, it does assist, just knowing there are 2 locating dowels stops tapping the housing sideways to remove, I'll use something very slim to break the housing seal.
Glad it helps. I had the oil out the back end at the time. A tip I read later on is that the oil level is not very high at the point of the pto and if the tractor is parked facing downhill, or jacked up, no oil should come out.
Thank you mate. I had the exact symptoms you described on 1998 avensis, however. The car ran fine for couple of months and now if it gets below 6 degrees Celcius, it wont even try to start. Crancks fine until battery is flat but wont fire. If the temps go above 6, i might get a long start but it runs. Im suspecting it is the cranck sensor. Mainly i was looking which is the easiest way to get to it and you provided the info. Thanks
Did it work bro? I'm having the same issues with 92 5AFE corolla. Don't want to waste any more money
absolutely no doubt they are the best.
by reducing the meter reading you are just moving the decimal point one way or the other. At least it is registering so should work with the new gauge. At the end of the day I would not have gone with the electric option and only use the capillary style one, they are far more reliable.
The capillary appears to be the way to go.
You mentioned that the tractor had been shut down for an hour but it still shows a temp. That maybe right as is does take a while for them to cool down. When DB made these cooling systems my early 30c will not warm up at all until I drive it and thats with a radiator blind pulled up.
Thank you
Very good idea 👍 .I might try a crisscross X .the stitches 🧵 like a pair of 👟 laces..Ive seen some plastic repairs melting the splits in plastic with a soldering iron ..don’t think it will work in this situation 🤔
I did another split just yesterday. I used smaller ties but more of them and therefore smaller holes. Good to experiment. As you say, I think too flexible for plastic weld. Would be better to use a repair tape such as duct tape or perhaps foil tape.
Thank you! I just broke the handle on my favourite trug and now I know how to fix it😊
Thank you, yes your video is very useful, helped me out.

Thanks for the informative video,I'm experiencing the same problem and agree there a bad design especially for what it's doing.
I've thought about ways to sort it, but haven't come up with anything yet. I keep a, from memory, 15/16 spanner handy and check it every so often. Needs it too; perhaps just bedding in! The new arm doesn't wobble like the old one though. Even tight the old one flopped about.
Great video! After finding all other videos about removing the crank handle completely useless, I was very keen to try your method on my Renault Kangoo van (2003). So I got my crow bar and gently levered off the handle...took 5 -10secs. Putting the new one on ( brand new from eBay at under GBP10.00) took even less time! Thanks again for solving my problem so simply!
Good to hear a success story. Makes it all worthwhile posting the video. I had no idea it would work on a Kangoo. Problem with door winders is they invariably have circlips, so the no-circlip-people become forgotten a bit!
Gauze was £2.99 including delivery.
Nice!
Thanks
thanks for posting
Glad I could help.
Just to clarify, this isn't the overflow/pressure relief/vent for the boiler, it is the condensate drain pipe. I use the word overflow because it is 21.5mm overflow pipe. Fits fairly perfectly over the condensate outlet, so I suspect the manufacturer expected people to use overflow pipe. Perhaps they expected people to use 22mm copper, but it still shows how acidic condensate is, if that's what caused the rot?
