Celebrating Cinco De Mayo at Boys Town
Before Boys Town, many of our kids never experienced the joy of celebrating. There was no joy surrounding birthdays or holidays. Instead, many worried about where their next meal would come from or if they'd have somewhere to sleep at night. Part of the healing that takes place at Boys Town is not only giving them those things most of us take for granted (food, shelter) but giving them a chance to be a kid and to celebrate special events, like a Cinco De Mayo fiesta! Watch this video to see how our community came together to celebrate diversity with over 500(!!) tamales, piñata's, music, and each other's company. #BoysTownSaves #CincoDeMayo
