    Exact SKCs, baby! Good episode. I think you're right that the pursuit of perfect isolation/control can be a problem. You also made a convincing argument for targeting multiple variations (I typically just only advertise the top CVR variation) - will try that out.

    so how would you determine your number of clicks to get a sale if you start with the product? Just put in the average conversion rate of the category tree you are on?

      Clicks divided by orders = average clicks to get a sale (it's the inverse of conversion rate). If you were using Seller Central metrics, it'd be Sessions divided by Purchases.

    Hi, nice detailing on negative keywords. A question though- what do you do with keywords that have no sale after 10-15 clicks in your auto and broad campaigns- you can manipulate bids for overall campaigns but not for those keywords specifically. Maybe you convered it in the video and I missed it. If so just gimme the time stamp. Thanks so much

      @@ThatAmazonAdsPodcast Hi Thanks for pointing me at the great video. While it was super elightening to watch the video, the strategies would work great for Exact and Product targeting campaigns. My challenge is around auto and broad where you cannot change bid for every keyword these campaigns find. I am still struggling for an answer on that. Lets say I have a broad on shoes and formal shoes has had 15 clicks no sale. The only way seems that I negate it since I can't change the bid for formal shoes in that campaign. Hope I made sense :)

    20:55 historically, broad and phrase or even exact will give you broad search terms results. For Exact, targeting ABC would give STs like BAC. Phrase and broad is lingering like ZDAB or ABC2

    Great content as usual. Just a quick question, why did you guys decide to add different match type keywords within one ad group for your newly created SB campaigns instead of creating multiple ad groups for each match type?

      Mainly because SB typically makes up less than 20% of your total ad spend, so no real need to have all those added layers of granularity & complexity. Nothing wrong with segmenting them by match type! We just don't see very much added value (at least not enough to account for the added effort required to make & manage those campaigns)

    I am ypur competitor and handling 2 brands selling similar product 😅 it is very difficult to convert and gain more market share. Roas for non branded is around 1

    I dont see a lot of campaigns already created. Doesn't makes sense to do harvesting instead launching 10s of Research Campaigns using keyboard research is what makes sense and after they start to work, tou go for harvesting.

    For such a small account, doing negative targeting of the harvested terms doesn't makes sense and it will just not help IMO

    Isn't it the case that 20% of the keywords usually get you 80% of the sales? You probably don't need to spend all that time and effort harvesting keywords for those marginal sales gains when you have done a good amount of KW research, to begin with running a cerebro on your competitors?

    Excellent point, Stephen, on round 1. Like going OOS, the campaign will now drive spend to other non-performing (or low-performing) KW/Targets, which will drive up Acos and spending. Better to let both run and let the data tell you how to optimize

      If that's the case, why not just stop that "keyword" after graduating all you could find.
