Custom Tonnika Sisters in the style of the vintage collection
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Making my version of the Tonnika sisters from the Mos Eisley cantina scene in Star wars a new hope. Since Hasbro will not ever make them in the vintage collection, I felt I had no choice but to make them myself in the style of the vintage collection. #timefortonnika

I returned from Walt Disney World on the same weekend as the big flea market in Belleville IL. I hit the flea market Sunday and had an incredible day. I found a lot of Star Wars figures and vehicles for a very low price.

What an intriguing way to make a hood. I'm doing my own customs and I'm struggling on how to make the hoods
Excellent work!!!
Nice 👌🏻... skillfully done, great work 👍🏻
Great video dude! I met your brother Jeramiah and he was showing me your guitar restoration process pics and I'm impressed! I'm local to your area and heard you have been blacksmithing for some 30 years. I grew up around an Anvil and would love to exchange knowledge! My father is setting up a new shop in our basement as I type. Would love your input.
Thank you. Unfortunately, I am no longer blacksmithing. I have some items for sale you might want like hammer tongs and a quench tank. Let Jeremiah know if you are interested.
for tremelo use cut the nut very well to align with the tuning posts, also you can string the high strings backwards for better string alignment over then nut, that helps a lot. locking tuners have nothing to do with tremolo or tuning stability, they dont lock $hit
I’m getting 100😅
JS11 supposed to be 22 fret? The spacing wont be right for intonation, if that is the wrong neck..
you are right! I just looked up the serial number and it is a JS12.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 Awesome axe. Honestly Jackson is fantastic.
Great Video! We have these Jackson JS11 guitars in stock at Omega. Mention this video and we can do them for $150.00
Well done!! I will be starting my snow apeeder restoration when im done with the falcon. Great video..i learned some extra tips on stuff
Glad to help
Wow! Looks great man! Love those stickers.
Amazing how the brightening fluid makes such a difference.
Unfortunately, it did not last. Everything I have done this to, eventually turned yellow again.
Very nice instructional video. I have a Snowspeeder on the way and just might use some of your techniques if needed.
That’s fantastic!! What’s the table made out of? Is that some kind of pvc plumbing attachment?
yes, it is a PVC cap. There are many other things you could use though. Just have to keep an eye open and look at things with your immagination.
Finding anything decent at Goodwill is lucky. Those were not a Marx spacemen, it's a Timmee Toys Galaxy Laser Team. The black knight looked like Britains.
Creative and talented wish, that, I have that talent... It is good to make a fan's favorite characters... It is very fun.... Do you make it for the fun of it, sell your talent or do both...
Everything I do here is for my own enjoyment. Once you involve money, it stops being fun and becomes work.
Well done!
What a great job, very good idea, amazing creativity.
Thank you! Cheers!
Great work! 👏🏼🔥👏🏼🔥
Amazing customs! Just wondering what did you use to seal them after coloring, MOD PODGE and a little bit of water? Cheers
yes, i used mod podge. If i were to do it again, I would use mat finish acrylic sealer. The finish looks much better and it is less stiff. the mod podge made them very difficult to pose.
This is really cool.
why is rhino there?
Hello are you taking commissions
sorry, I only do this for fun.
Hello are you talking commissions
Tokkat with a brown hood
I have this figure 2 years ago and the leg broke i was disappointed but i superglued it. its fixed, this year i still have em in the shelf.
Always enjoy your vids. Kinda regret selling my complete 3.3/4 set for the palace but have opted now for a 1/6 but unfortunately will be only restricted to the throne room due to size
thank you. did you have massassi's set? I know it is going to be huge. I still dont know where I am going to put mine when completed. Some things may have to go but it will be worth it.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 no, I meant all of the characters for the diorama. The cost of getting them back costs way too much so I opted for 1/6 scale. A lot less figures but still around the same price as acquiring a full set back again
@@justinhaynes1085 gotcha. Luckily, some of the more expensive e onse get a repack this year for the rotj 40th aniversary.
Better check if r2d2 have date or stamp from what year is
It is a 90's R2, worth only a couple dollars.
These may not be bootlegs, it’s exact same stormtrooper from Tantive battle packs
Unauthorized runs of that mold, most likely. The Chinese factory holds the molds and runs them without Hasbro/Lucasfilm's knowledge. There's other molds being used, too (For shadow stormtroopers and clone). There's just too many to be old productions runs and rejects. I've gotten ebay lots of those before, the supply runs out eventually. These seem to be an on going thing, since there's ample supply 2 years later.
Looks great! What’s that you used for the head?
Thanks. The head was cut off a vintage rubber fly toy.
That's Cad Bane's speeder 😉
Nice custom.
I am really tempted to get these to have them attack a Xenomorph hive (Hiya), but at the same time, I want to get the 6 inch versions to have as a squad for an imperial officer and 2 death troopers. I am so conflicted lol.
this is one of those I don't care if they are bootleg I just want a cheap army build like Tarkin did when they replaced the clones. question can they aim down sight ?
I have not tried but I don't think that they can.
Are these 3.14 inch or 3.75 inch
Standard 3.75
Looks awesome:)
well it's a bootleg, it has a slightly different print to the original, but still good collectible for the right price
Yes, you were right about the bird being from Spirit. The little figures look like Marvel knock-offs for sure. Are there any markings on those gargoyle looking container things? Let me know and I’ll try and figure it out because I think they have value. -Bert
The gargoyles turned out to be gremlins water hatchers. I had completely forgotten about those.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 Ahhhh…I can totally see that!
Incredible finds! Thanks for sharing!👍
What head sculpts did you use?
Rey island journey.
You can use any female head that you think works. I only used rey because I had a couple extra.
Wow. Absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing this video.
They aren’t from the people who bottom they bought the toy and yes pause the toy
Nice What’s the clear piece you used
It is an acrylic rod I bought from Ebay.
I want them.
Dwarf don!
the guy with the switch is from robocop but that switch is supposed to spark. the yellow multiple arms is dead eye from bucky o hare. the marvel guys are Gideon with the ponytail orange guy is shatter star
Is there any wording on the feet or inside the legs? That's where you will usually see that hasbro or LFL wording
left foot has made in china. right foot has c2008 LFL. it is covered in the comments that these are not bootleg at all but Hasbro rejects.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 thanks for the reply and yes I read all the comments but I didn't see anything about the foot or leg wording
@@unitruth You are correct, there is nothing in the comments about copyright or coo markings. Only that they are official and not bootleg. I actually never thought to look for markings until your comment so thank you.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 you're welcome and thanks for the video. Your video really helped. And since the markings say that I'm thinking the same ,they probably are actual hasbro , but rejects or something.
Thank you for the video, I've been considering buying some of these for my death Star setup
The duck with the 4 arms is bucky o'hare's Deadeye duck
I enjoyed the video a lot ! Awesome find !!
Hello! Love your work! In my spare time I also like to do dioramas myself. I would like to try this myself. Will you kindly share your blueprints for this? Cheers mate!
Sorry, there are no blueprints. I used reference photos from the net and improvised to fit it into the space I have available. You can find the actual film set blueprints on the web. That is what I used for reference.
@@unclemattsworkbench6667 Awesome! Thanks for the quick response. I will try that. Cheers mate!
