Through the Keyhole, is a very chunky grungy style journal, with a collection of well loved items in a forgotten journal: family recipes, photos, diaries, and letters. The journal contains vintage and reproductions of vintage recipes (many in original handwriting), diary pages from various years as early as 1929 (most with the original handwritten entries), letters, vintage postcards, greeting cards, photographs, cluster pad folio, page from a TripTik, vintage receipts, needle case reproductions, altered playing card, grocery stamps, vintage book page envelopes, vintage prescription, pages from vintage magazines, folders for notes, iron-on transfer, vintage payroll envelope, and almanac page from 1952.
The journal cover is bound with fabric and vintage eyelet, and has a muslin closure with a key charm, and a vintage doily embellishment. There are 64 pieces of removable ephemera and the journal is 6 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide. The 78 pages are coffee stained paper, mixed media pages, and pages from many vintage books, including cookbooks, ledgers, and an address book. The pages are in two signatures in a 1 1/2 inch spine and are decorative stitched or edged with fabric or vintage lace. The pockets are made from fabric and vintage lace. The journal is created to have a vintage distressed time worn look. There is only one available and it comes wrapped in brown kraft paper tied with string.
