Did the same myself a few years ago. 8 days along with long walks. lost 10kgs. You and I know that a week's fast takes some determination and discipline. Helps you with other parts of life. Tried a fruit fast for a week and lost the same by the way. Much more enjoyable I have to say.

I was vegan for 4 years 20 years ago. I had a realization one night that my 4 years of being vegan was some type of self torture. It made me see myself as different and better than the masses. Separating myself from many good people. Perfection does not exist in humans. There is no perfect diet. While I believe that veganism is a good sidetrack up the spiritual mountain, ultimately it's about self abuse. Not self love.
