I had the exact same issue and bought a $14 new sensor on Amazon, replaced it, hasn't happened since.

This was poor installation, it shouldve been taken care of your installer.... but changing the sensor type should be an easy fix....
Is the lens dirty? It might be seeing the dust on the lens.
Tried that still didn’t help if I block the sun, it will go down just fine but as soon as I take my hand away, it stops
Move the emitter to the sunny side and the receiver to the shady side
That would require a rewire and we have a finished garage and attic
@@Nate10502 You can just cut the wires and splice them where they emerge from the walls, if you can't access the attic.
Two options, one move the sensor to the other side of the door or change out the sensor to a different type.
If he moves it to the other side, wouldn’t he have the same problem just at a different time of day? 😂
Fun, I just moved my sensors above the door and a foot apart.😅
make a little "hood" for the sensor to block the sun from above, but still see the beam from across the garage door. Try a piece of dark tape and make a little "roof" over the sensor. Adjust as necessary. Maybe try a toilet paper tube ...Your milage may vary.
Couple 3x5 note cards should provide a temporary solution
Mine does it but the remote app does not which I find very weird
I never tried it with the myQ app, but it doesn’t matter that much because it’s only between 6 and 7 o’clock when we have this issue when the sun is setting and we’re home anyway

If you're having pressure switch problems on windy days that tells me the intake termination is installed incorrectly. Should be facing the ground to avoid wind gusts from blowing back inwards
Oh I know it’s installed incorrectly but it’s in a spot where we can’t point it down because of where they put it But it doesn’t happen that often so it’s not a huge problem and it self resets after a while

I'm a little confused. Is this a good review or a complaint video? What is that rattling sound when the unit turns on? That would drive me crazy.
I did a review of this about a year ago but I never did a full sound test and people sometimes want that I don’t know what the small rattle is but it’s so quiet you can’t hear it unless you’re right next to it. And plus it never rattles on a normal cycle because it never gets up to full power
@@Nate10502 it is the inducer slinging up condensate - normal. never needing full capacity even in cold snaps is a indication the furnace is oversized - most are. the modulators don't come smaller than 60 to 70k depending on brand.
