I was buying those Rock Lord type Transformers last year. But, when Christmas hit, I ended up donating them to Toys for Tots, since I hadn't opened any of them.

Another easy way to fill those hollow spots is to use polystyrene sheet and cut a cover panel then gently file to fit flush create an inside spacer to keep cover plate supported. cleaner and less time than the putty. It is like a 3d printed filler piece when you don't have a 3d printer
I wish they would have put the same kind of work into Studio Series Galavatron as they did with Springer.
@@Andulvar What kind of extra work would you have liked?
my only two issues with Springer is one that i can't fix (i tightened the loose forearm pieces with kiki and had to sand down part of the shoulder strut for one of the shoulder pads) are that i wish the shoulder pads sat lower and i wish the strut for the back pack was two struts with a break in the middle to let it sit more over the cockpit instead of one that makes the backpack sit out. also, the green sword has a square peg like the small sword and the missle
@@TheCaptainKuhn Yeah, it looks like one of my shoulder sections has a bit of extra plastic at the joint, preventing it from being totally level. That’ll be getting fixed too.
I'm pretty someone has said it by now. The bomb that comes with Springer is from the 86 movie as a return fire on the Decepticons when they invaded Autobot city.

Netflix Soundwave with Ravage and Laserbeak aka Earthrise versions but also Legacy United Leader G1 Universe Soundwave the same but different coloring but also includes Ravage, Buzzsaw instead of Laserbeak and Rumble which is a darker blue than Studio Series (Blue)
We're still supposed to be getting new SS86 molds for Ravage and Laserbeak though, right?
Awesome video as always Good luck with the glowing affect. I too am trying to find a way to paint it on. Funnily enough I almost bought some glow in the dark paint to day but the mixed reviews kinda shy’d me away 😅
Thanks for watching dude! I actually bought a full set of neon paints last year that I HOPE will work perfectly for these Gamer Edition bots. Did some test paints and they look promising!

That's an interesting thought! I think it might be possible, although since I would do an eventual repaint and add my own emblems, it's a non-starter for me. Still might be a good option for others though!

This looks amazing! I have the same base figure you used, and I’d like to attempt to paint my own Hound. One question, you mentioned you should have used a certain primer on its feet due to the softer plastic. What type of primer do you recommend? tia!
It's Tamiya Primer for Nylon/Polypropylene. It's still not perfect but it's an improved result in painting those softer plastic bits. Best of luck to you and thanks for watching!

What do you use for paint stripping?
Nonnef has an adjustable head fin. Along with set of wing extensions.
I actually just recently bought that kit and seems pretty good. Still looking forward to what DNA Design will have to offer.

Can't say that I am, no. I don't hate it, just never got into it.
Go that SS 86 Bee! I was skeptical at first about my purchase but he’s honestly a fantastic figure. He’s very solid and fun to mess with. I personally love the yellow but I wish that his windows were blue. I could always fix that with paint though lol! But overall I really enjoy it and I hope you do too after some time with it!
Oh 100% dude. The more I mess with him, the more I'm really digging him! He's such a good little figure. It turns out Bumblebee fans are eating good too lol.

Splitting the heads makes painting the eyes easier. I'm not sure what glue Hasbro uses to seal it together...
Yeah, I've done that before with Slug. But with a small enough brush it's no trouble at all.

When you get to Breakdown and Wildrider, I'd recommend sanding down part of the inside cavity where the top windshield/roof will have to snap over
