I miss the days watching WRC on the SPEED Channel here in the US when I was a teenager. I tried keeping up with every WRC round until around 2005-2006.
Tragic to know that just two years later, Richard Burns would no longer be with us. McRae’s last full season too, only made a handful of guest drives after 2003 and then died in 2007. Those years of 2005-2007 were pretty cruel for British rallying. Burns, Michael Park and then McRae. 😞
Great Britain is the nightmare for Sainz even though he won there in the 90's, just like Germany for Raikkonen you know that in Nurburgring and Hockenheim reliability costed him title twice 😔😔😔
The beggining of the end for Peugeot. They botched the winning formula by changing vital parts on the 206 which made it a completely different car in some parameters and aborted development on the car mid season when it was still a mess in order to develop the bucket that was the 307. No wonder Panizzi left for Mitsubishi the year after. Another case of Corrado Provera being a hardheaded clown. Im pretty sure if they kept it as it was in 2002 they'd still be good even tho the other teams developed new cars.
Legendary season, for sute one of bests in rally ever. And this upload of full season from Andres are the perfect tribute to Richard and Colin. Thank you so much!!!
The commentary is just empty. It contains nothing that rally fans don't already know. It's the same thing every 10 mins. A quip about who his now in what position, a quick interview with the rally leader asking them if they can feel excited about a win, show the leaderboard, rinse and repeat ....

Makkinen won it 4 times on the trot, not 5
If not the best one by Grönholm in his career...
Used to stayed up late for every race...
Hyundai withdraw from 2003
This is the first wrc win for markko Martin and for Michael park
Looks like loeb cannot believe it that he’s lost his chance of winning in Catalunya rally thanks to panizzi who was on the right tyre
The Australian rally was the last podium for burns before the illness struck him before he even got to wales
This is the last wrc podium for makinen for this event
Shame the woman doing the voiceover is so insufferable
This turns out to be the last time the wrc had rallied in san Remo before they moved to Sardinia a year later
This is Colin mcraes last wrc podium before he took sabbatical 2004 season
2003 we say goodbye to didier auriol tommi makinen Colin McRae And Richard burns

I remember this rally. 1-2-3 Citroën win

27:01 Colin is in trouble for the next season😔😔😔
A sad debut rally for the Skoda Fabia.

Baigi labi
Se me cae una lagrima. Que linda época. Salvo mi adolescencia.
This is tommi makinens first of 2 podiums in his last wrc rally
This rally is the last win for Gilles panizzi his last for Peugeot before he goes over to Mitsubishi a year later
This rally event was the last one for burns before he was struck with the illness
44:03 look at that gronholm has clouted the bank and it’s torn off the front left wheel off his car
Shame that Hyundai didn’t turn up for the San remo rally
22:51 you can hear the noise coming from the front right front of his car and that’s the sound of the front right wheel falling off
It was my first rally that i watched on TV. In 2003 i was 6 years old. WRC is still my only love❤🚗
Sound is a bit off, can it be fixed? But an awesome upload still. Thx you
Anders K, has WRC claimed your Rally Australia video?
The last good looking cars
the begining of Loebs Era

Last WRC victory for the asphalt specialist Gilles Panizzi.
Two incredible bands

Finland 🇫🇮 is an up and down rally
Great rally
Great video
Full of legends back then. Gronholm, Loeb, Mcrae, Burns, Solberg hell even Carlos sainz dad carlos senior was a rally legend.
Its so lucky that Solberg at least won one we never knew that Loeb would just dominate the WRC year after year.
Hearing makinen praising the Subaru is simply stunning from the genius of Mitsubishi
I came here for Alister McRae and his Mitsubishi in WRC 3.
If I had a drink for every time they mention how Giles Panizzi is a 'tarmac expert'... It's like the only thing they have to say about the dude lol

Skoda fielded the Octavia WRC until Cyprus if my memory serves me right
Ty
Is it me, or was McRae always so grumpy…?
Considering how his luck was going in 2003 up until this rally, I don’t really blame him for being grumpy
Thanks for the video
